Seriously though I have to agree, Air and Arty are both rather too powerful in general though maybe drop them to 30 dmg shells and test. This would move them out of Headshot range unless you strip all the armor from it which is your choice. If this makes it too weak then raise the aoe by 5-10% or something to compensate.

Getting a "Head Shot" on a mech is such a rarity.... Why change it. Cause the 2-5 (EVER) that had it happen to them came to the forums to QQ?
Ive been Caught DEAD center in more Arty/Air with my Atlai and Battlemaster..........and never once been taken out by head shot or killed. Chalk it up to RNG. Suck it up and move along.

its about time
i seen a lot arty headshots
got headshoted by arty myself
its simply stupid to get killed by rng
especially when the best of this game is that there is almost no rng in it
ac40 jager/cats at least need a bit of skill (having the effective range,and rly aiming yourself for the tiny head hitboxes)
so reduce the direct dmg of the shells or just make them never hit the head

To be perfectly technical, Arty is affected by "slots" and is one shot per match, so it runs out of "ammunition" fairly fast....it also cost money to reload between matches, which most other weapons do not. Besides that, you have about as much chance of getting an arty head shot or dying from one as you do of winning the lottery.
I can understand if people complain about stuff that happens to them all the time, and/or if the situation is totally unrealistic...but we're talking about something that even people who use arty in every match don't see happen very often, and this is something that could totally happen if you shot a real artillery cannon at a "real" mech and actually landed a direct hit.

In response to your anecdotal evidence, I will give my own. I once played a twelve man on Alpine, and we lost three 'Mechs to arty headshots. Take of it what you will.
