Nope, stay away from the FX-8350/9550 if money is no issue.. Yeah it's an 8 core, but the i7 haswell 4770k gives it a good thumping, and it's only a 4 core.. I have friends with both CPUs, and I watched the 4770k beat it in several things. Plus you have to factor in at least $200.00 extra for good water cooling to have worry free overclocking of the FX-8350/9550, not so with the 4770k, because you don't have to clock the 4770k anywhere near the 8350 to get as good and better performance. Anyone that says otherwise is full of beans...............EDIT: The corsair H100i is NOT going to allow you to OC, it's going to keep up with that FX CPU at stock speeds, but not with an OC, also you're going to need a serious PSU to back up an FX series chip OC'd. Intel is clearly the better choice, the argument has been settled a while ago, and I have been an AMD user exclusively since 2007, and i'm dropping AMD. Also a Xenon CPU is not the droid you're looking for, not even close.

I7, not AMD if money isn't a problem.

Also, 4 titan blacks for an extra 3gb of vram (again, if money isn't a problem.)

Ok, For the Intel Fanboys, Here's my Revised Intel Build:
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/3JAns
http://ca.pcpartpick...ns/by_merchant/

Same as before except different CPU and MOBO and Switched out the GPUs
CPU is a I5-4670K, Recommended CPU of Toms Hardware for May 2014
for Top GPU May 2014 is the R9 295x2, so I swapped out the Quad 780ti for Dual R9 295x2 in 2 Way Crossfire
MOBO would be the Asus Maximus VI Extreme

when looking for Coolers, the H100i was the most recommended from what I found so it must be the #1 Best Cooler out there so I kept it there for cooling.

For the AMD Fanboys, I stepped down from the 9590 to the 8350, 4GHz stock and a lower TDP then the 9590 so it should be easier to OC, Changed the Mobo to the Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0.
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/3JAXk
http://ca.pcpartpick...Xk/by_merchant/

Base Cost For Intel: $7988.93 Canadian ($7261.98 US, 4316.48 Pounds, 7750.60 AUD)
Base Cost for AMD: $7657.03 Canadian ($7020.93US, 4171.43 Pounds, 7489.22 AUD)

Edit: For the Intel Build, the I5-4670K Could be Replaced for the I7-4770K, Base Cost for the Intel Build would go up to $8034.03 Canadian ($7366.61 US, 4376.75 Pounds, 7867.79 AUD):

All right...I'll bite...

Theme build(anybody want to sponsor me? :D )...and I'm not going to bother with pricing it out

AMD FX8350
Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Asus/AMD R9 295x2
Any Corsair RAM with Red or Black HS, Alternatively AMD Radeon RAM
Corsair H100i or H110
Corsair AX-860i
Corsair Air 540 or really any Corsair ATX capable case.
Corsair Fans
Asus BDR
Corsair SSD 480GB+
Asus Monitor
Corsair Keyboard, Mouse, Pad, Headset

Slightly more seriously...

i7-4960X
Rampage 4 BE
64Gb 2133 RAM
paired Intel 730's
Qfired R9-295x2
Custom WC Loop
...the rest is relatively insignificant...unless you go full custom case as well.

This is kind of a pointless exercise though, any monster FULL setup will run well north of 5K, and probably be in the 7-10k range.

Still....lottery wins do happen.

6 of them, minus the GPUs, sound, M/K,H, and Displays (only need one set), in a Beowulf Cluster running BSD with a virtual Win 7 64bit environment.

Total cost US: $33901.92

No PCPartpicker for me, so I'll just list the components. You may look up the price yourself :)

Mainboard: ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS (Dual 2011 Socket)
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2687W V2 (each with 8 cores at 3.4 GHz)
Memory: 4x Corsair Vengance Pro Series 2x 8GB DDR3-2800 CMY16GX3M2A2800C12R
Case: CoolerMaster Cosmos II
Cooling: A custom water cooling solution I didn't come up with yet.
GPU: 2x Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower XT 1475M
SSD: 2x Samsung 840 Pro Series 512 GB in Raid 0
HDD: 4x Seagate Constellation ES.3 4TB 3.5"
Screens: 3x Samsung U28D590D 60Hz

The rest would be decided as needed.

Also note: I usually look at the parts I want to buy very carefully. Looking up reviews and test and comments for days. This system I build within a few minutes, so it's absolutly possible that I'd end up with something completly different, if I were to really build me a "no limits" system.

Nope, go with the i7 4770k... NOT the i5 4670k. Doesn't make much sense to go with the i5 if price is no issue.. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819116901 Just think 3 years down the road.
