Serious question:

Is everyone taking meta this weekend? I ask because I am seeing a lot of it and I was wondering if it is just me being forced into higher Elo's in the afternoon due to population or if everyone is just cheezing it for the tourney.

Yes, everyone "who matters" is taking out the cheese, "maxing" their mins, so that they can be Munchkin of the Day....in "Call of World of Mathwarrior"

as opposed to playing MechWarrior.

For that, you have to pony up some $$.

To play MW, that is.

Mechwarrior has always been about killing enemy mechs as efficiently as possible.

Just watch the comp indicator when you hover over the launch button. Wait for the Heavy/Assault numbers to be at or around parity with the Light and Medium, and you have a greater chance of landing in a more balanced battle. Try to avoid launching when the combined total of Heavy and Assault players in queue is over 70%.

Good luck with that during the tourney. You might as well not launch.

I had quite a few quality drops today doing this. I even saw a few times where Assaults were the lowest percentage and it actually suggested I drop in one.

Most games I've been in all day have been around 7+ assaults per side.

One was 9 assaults, 2 heavies and a medium (I was the medium).

So many running LRM and meta, trying to play in my lights and meds is basically suicide out there today.

Well, I'm metaing to protect myself from the tourney (not sure if I want to keep trying really).

Besides, it's hard to lurm properly to get my Trebuchet Failbucket-5N grinded out.

I took a 2 months break. MWO has become worse since then.

LRM are just ruining it additional to poptarts. "Oh quick hide otherwise you get LRM'ed" and while you hide poptarts jump over cover and 3 shot you. wow such fun, great gamplay, much MWO.

It sucks since they implemented the ELO MM 1.5 years ago.

I agree, I had way more fun back then when I didn't lose every second game.

Today I get matched once with an quite inferior and after that with a strongly superior team. They call that ELO - balanced.

I haven't had a single stomp game today (played about 15). Stop dying in the first few minutes.
