I was wondering if anyone knew the current IP for the MWO servers. I searched, found an old thread from last year and tried traceroute, and destination at the end was amusingly MWtactics lol, so they must have inherited the old server?

Anyway, if someone knows it, if you could post it in the format of the entire command line so myself and others can simply copy/paste the line into the dos prompt it would be much appreciated.

so far, it looks like my local ISP bounces my packets all over the state bfore sending it to chicage for a quick trip to the MW tactics server. I am curious if this is the same for MWO, but I do not know the current server IP.

they want me to do a traceroute..... yet IDK how, lol...because my connection to them for the last 6 weeks has been crap.

also, it's the same server...because that is the address they are giving me to try.

well the how is simple, type cmd into the search box(windows 7) after clicking the window (start menu) icon. On top of pop up window is the DOS prompt.

Then, copy paste the command line that hopefully someone will be nice enough to post here for us! I read in a different thread(meme thread is best thread) where someone talked to their ISP and got some awesome ping reduction by changing routes. I am hoping for this solution, or at least to get the info so when I call my ISp i can discuss it with them.

tracert 70.42.29.75

Note: the final hop is likely to constantly time out. The server is probably configured to ignore ping requests.

The servers are based in a Toronto server center.

I'm sure you could do some google detective work and figure out which one.

It must be powered by Rob Ford. It is the only logical conclusion.
