So I swear in the armor mix they put a bit of thermite in there or something because they just keep getting blown off left or right. I love the Raven, I love light mechs, but I am just sick of having my poor Raven's only ever die to leg shots. I since buying the Huginn never died to anything but legs loss.
Least with my Jenners, Firestarters and Spiders I die by Torsos and not legs all the time. I just had a match where an Arty strike (Yes, I got caught by one) Blew off both my pristine max armor legs.
/End ranting
Just needed to share my feelings on that, little ranting gets the frustration out and all that.

Ravens have large leg hitboxes, yes. This is partly due to the fact that they were artificially increased way back when to fix some major hit reg bugs the chassis had, but a lot of it has to do with the actual model as well. They're rather long and the 'knee' is particularly easy to hit.

like a chick on a stick your raven consists of 50% legs only, what do you expect?

I thought it was only the Raven 3L that has hitboxes bigger than the way the legs look?
The spider is bigger than it looks all the way around.
And locusts have leg hit boxes the size of Atlai because of whiney forum babies who can't aim.
Meanwhile I don't even bother aiming at light mechs legs for the most part. If I have any kind of autocannon or PPC and the light mech gets anywhere near me it's a dead light mech.

They are, while I prefer to pilot lights a lot of the time for my unit I am stuck in Fire Support roles and popping light mechs is a little to easy for me some times.
