Actually, since the Clans dropped the new format for Stock Mech Monday is: two dropships/rooms on the Strana Mechty TS are now "Tech 1 Only" and the rest are "All Tech".
My own team's TS is mysteriously empty tonight as well. xD

Ah, but tech-one pure stock only? Last time I checked, you guys were doing "tech-1 pure-stock and also tech-2 stock-except-downgraded-to-SHS," which isn't quite the same as tech-one pure-stock. I'll be continuing to attend the Monday event, because -- bluntly -- even twice a week is too seldom for my taste, but it's the Saturday event that I'm really after, because I'm interested in tech-1 pure-stock-only matches.

You're correct, that's what we were doing...that's why I said "new format". It's no longer "tech-1 pure-stock and also etc. etc." There are now two "Tech 1" dropships/rooms, operating just like Tech 1 in Stock Saturday. There are also several "All Tech" which allow Clans, Tech 2 Inner Sphere (including DHS), and Tech 1 IS.
So, on Stock Mech Monday, you can now play Tech 1 only if you want.
PS. Just for clarification, SMM was always "pure stock". We didn't allow DHS Mechs, downgraded to SHS. Our rules were no DHS Mechs at all...unfortunately, miscommunication might have spread around. Sorry man.

I doubt that. Monday night is still strong. It's summer in the northern hemisphere. Especially on the weekends, people are busy.

I.IV. Fighting
In order to fight, dropships need to be deployed to an enemy world and a fight has to be logged in inside command tool.
Once a fight has been logged, a fight thread in the matchmaking forum has to be created and the CO/XO of the opponent unit to be contacted ( through PM on this website ).
Both unit negotiate a fight time within 10 days from the attack in the matchmaking forum and confirm the fight date and time there.
All fight dates have to be done in server time, which isshown inside command section on top.
If a attacked unit does not react to a fight within 3 days ( post in matchmaking forum thread created by the attacking unit), will loose this fight and will get 12 Mechs destroyed on the attacked world.
If a unit cannot handle all fights, because of the sheer numbers, the 10 days limit can be extended by the admin uppon request.
After a fight is done, the defender has a one day counter attack privilege. After one day, the attacker can post an attack again.
I.V. Unit Size – Drop Size (MWO only)
The required drop size for a unit with 6 – 8 members is 6.
The required drop size for a unit with 9 – 10 members is 8.
The required drop size for a unit with 11- 14 members is 10.
The required drop size for a unit with 15+ members is 12.
Drop size depends on the unit size of the defender.

Some of my Russian friends in the Falcon Guard have expressed interest in joining in, but haven't because of time zone. Kh0rn (South Africa), too, would doubtless show up regularly if he could, and I think most European players are in the vicinity of that time zone. Why don't we move the time to somewhere around 1 PM, Eastern US time, give or take a few hours? This is, I think, 9 AM, Moscow time. Since it is a Saturday, this should work reasonably well for all time major zones -- US, European, and Russian. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Any other suggestions? I can see shifting forward a couple of hours, which would let almost every time zone meet, but I was told that this time specifically would work well for the Russian group I'm trying to introduce to stock mode.

The stock CPLT-A1: CPLT-A1
PGI's non-canonical CPLT-A1(C) build, which doesn't count as stock, even though this is how the CPLT-A1(C) arrives upon purchase: CPLT-A1(C)
So, you could bring a CPLT-A1(C), but it would have to be using the exact build from the first link. I really am still unsure whether the original Stock Saturday event rules allowed stock Heroes which come Tech 1. However, I'm considering starting a new thread for Stock Saturday, since the original poster hasn't showed up in a long time, and the current incarnation is a bit different than he envisioned (in particular, we use 60 tons as our average weight, and are attempting to meet at a different time).
Please note that Stock Saturday is pure-stock, Tech Level 1 only. See the site linked to in the OP for a list of what counts.

The Raven 3L is Tech Level 2, so it wouldn't be allowed on Stock Saturday. However, the Raven 4X is the most powerful Tech 1 stock light 'mech in the game at present, and it only costs ~2.5 million. I pilot one myself (not because it's the best, but because I've always loved flying the Raven 4X in MWO, and it's good to see it get a chance to shine at last), and I highly recommend it. It plays more like a medium than a light, and it's loads of fun jetting around like a fewl in a little badass robot bird. : )
The Centurion D is also Tech 2, so not allowed. The A and AL are Tech 1, and the AL is a reasonable performer in T1 stock. I don't know the A's abilities first-hand, but it looks to be too light on armor to be very effective, although that doesn't necessarily mean that it's terrible.
Please review the rules & lists linked to in the OP, to avoid confusion and to see which 'mechs are allowed in T1 stock matches.

No, we discovered that using tonnage limits works better in stock matches. We do 60 tons per player, which allows a large number of viable combinations to be used & work. (For example, an Awesome 8Q and three Hunchbacks versus an Atlas D, a Dragon, and two Ravens -- both are viable fighting forces in this case, and have the same tonnage, slightly under the allowed maximum.)
