If we were using Sarna Pricing thats pulled from the books. The Atlas-K would be costing 20million C-bills instead of the 13million it is now.

PGI has cut the prices on the mechs down by 30ish%. So the Big Bad Daishi isn't going to be that massive of a pill to swallow that people have been thinking about. Its going to be around 20million C-bills instead of its near 30.

20m CB is more acceptable
although that is this a lot of grinding without premium time

Great, that there is a timeline for the release of the Mechs for C-bills and MC. First time I see something like that.
Great that they have a plan...

And everybody who complains about that you can buy this Mechs for C-Bills to should remember the cost of the Clan-Mechs!!
I would expect the Daishi to cost 30.000.000 C-bills for a single Mech -> that would be 90.000.000 for all three to get them Mastered. Therefore you need at least a few hours of playing to get that C-bills...even for that Mechs.

Yeah because paying that much for nerfed mechs is the kind of thing i'd expect from PGI.

Have they answered the question of mixed units or not? That is about the only barrier I have to getting a clan pack. I am not even sure I care what the answer is, I just want that answered before committing.

Was thinking about that. If the hit detection issue is on mechs exceeding a certain speed, then MASC should not preclude the Executioner or the Shadow Cat from release. If it is the sudden change in speed, that might mess with hit detection a hair. Specifically if rapidly toggled on and off, but one imagines a small cooldown between mode shifts could solve that, no?

Methinks the MASC should have a separate sprint button and share charge and cooldown with JJ, since the two are not logically used together but duplicate each other somewhat. It should be better than myomer freeze-up, since that would be an overkill.

Love the line I sell cars and you would not believe the number of people who really ask questions like this
I suspect there will be many things that we see that will have to be "Tweaked".
Any one recall the Gauss Rifle when it was the ends all be all gun... now we see fewer of them and the are not nearly the "God Weapon" they were. Then People learned to work them and we see them again.

There will be some adjustments we (the community) will cry and whine for a few weeks or months and then we will adjust our game play to it.

If you like at this game it is worlds ahead of where other Mechwarrior games were.

Are there things I wish to see more over YES, but I have loved Battle Tech and the games for years so I will stick with it and hope for some fun stuff to come up sooner... or later  .

MW:O is not Pay to Win, but it is Fee to Play considering the cost of mechs, etc.

It seems that Clan mechs/tech will be close to double the cost of a comparable class mech/tech.

Robbery. 10-20% more I can stomach, but not 60-100%

What configurations we are getting and if they are going to pull another 'sabre pack' at the last moment are why im waiting to the absolute last moment to buy ANYTHING.

TBH I don't mind those who are willing to pay are getting some time ahead of the rest of us. We'll all get the option eventually. Prices I don't think will be hugely different, XL engines might be better than IS ones but they still only go the same speed.

For those getting the mechs there are questions on how they will balance compared to IS mechs. Will we have lots of clan vs clan matches for months. We're not going to have mixed teams I'd guess, that means matches will be restricted for the matchmaker to try and balance. Can't see any issues as it's perfect at doing it just now .....

You also have to wonder about modules for the clan mechs, never thought of clans calling in artillery or airstrikes

The ShadowCat has JJ and MASC. Alt B even adds in ECM.

So yeah. This is the hard truth that I knew would probably make me shell out for a pre-release package, just so that I wouldn't have to wait until October to buy the mechs I actually want.

GG PGI. GG.

So does the Executioner, but there is no point in using MASC while you are in the air, quineg? There might be some abuse of this combination, but there is no other way to introduce some very decent mechs, they only need to do it right.

I am pretty sure they did. I can't quite remember where it was but i am pretty sure they answered that at one point.
From what i remember you can drop in random/pug games in mixed groups. But the 12 people commpetitive gameplay (like CW and stuff) you will be more restricted.

So if you drop alone or in 2-4 man groups just leveling or something it doesn't matter what any of you are "driving" (not counting 3/3/3/3).
In 12 man premades it probably will matter

So no defending your IS planets with Clan Mechs against Clans. But at least we wont have to go looking for a new group in our unit every time we want to switch Mechs for a first victory of the day. ;-)

30m cbills for one clan mech??
are they made out of gold??

that is seriously absurd

It's consistent with the TT game. Clan Tech costs much more.

the funny thing is you are doing extra grind to meet these extra expenses for items that the devs want to be fighting toe to toe comparatively with the IS mechs. so really the extra expense is for clan skins because from hardpoint swapping to the equipment itself the devs want it to balance against the equivelent IS.

Very true. But I spent the $240 anyway, because I like Mechwarrior and I'd rather enjoy fighting in Clan Mechs early than grind away at IS Mechs one by one.

It's good that I was able to choose between money and time.

It's more likely that ''Clan/IS Pure" will just be another checkbox in the private match lobby. That is, you'll be able to choose to fight IS vs Clan, or not.

However, in the PUG queue, it will be mixed drops. If we're lucky, they might add a PUG game mode that requires pure tech.

60 bucks is reasonable for an entire clan pack. 240? Insane. No thanks. Not gonna happen. You EARN money the old fashioned way. That isn't earning it.

the only thing which i really dont like about it is:
Damn why can i preorder only these damn packages?
I wanna have a Dire Wolf and a Warhawk. I dont care about the others... (maybe summoner or mad cat too, but they are not that important to me... once i have the dire wolf and warhawk, i need months anyway for skilling...
Now i would have to spend 120€ to the Dire Wolf in June...:/ (what i wont do!)
That sucks... i would have spend 30€ just for the Dire Wolf, without the Summoner, Kit Fox and whatever...

At the very bottom of the preorder page, you can get individual 'mechs (prime+2 variants) via "a la carte" or something like that.

I wonder, does it mean for us who don't pre-order that we won't see a new Mech until August?
I'm fine with that if we get some new Maps or more solid info on CW.
