The best gauss sniper would be the dual gauss cataphract. You can run it in a 2xGauss + ML config or a 2xGauss + PPC config. If you don't like Jump Jets I'd go for the Jagermech S. It's the best non-JJ gauss sniper.

I have to add that I haven't tried the misery, but I'm assuming you're looking for a dual gauss mech anyway.
