@OP, you could also really add AC20 based builds to this list also as they exploit the same FLD mechanics. Ghost heat actually affected dual AC20 builds almost as much as those with more than two PPCs. The AC20 and PPCs are punished much more harshly for firing one more than max alpha than any other weapons so ghost heat was obviously intended to reign in both PPCs and AC20s. The AC20 has also had nerfs to range and projectile speed to try and curb its effectiveness. It still remains a very popular weapon despite its draw backs because it hits harder than anything else in the game.

Well, it takes pretty much no skill to use FLD on anything over 45 tons. Click, and done.

Hitting lights does take a bit more finesse. If everything didnt' automatically converge, FLD would take actual skill to use.

Meta' Builds/current one/non lrm's and streaks - have the characteristics of enhancing a players skill while being easy to pick up and play

Assault mechs - Jumpjets - armlock - 30 alpha strike -repeat


anyway yes this does not include all the history of what became dominate for a months time or so
just what is near replicating the 4ppc stalkers alpha strike with better effectiveness in todays game
