I'm at work so I can't see for myself, but they added a new feature today. Estimated queue time per weight class. If you're trying to find a match, when nearly everyone else has not yet patched, I really wonder what the queue time says. oh, so apparently it's just relative ratio of weight classes and not a timer. C'est la vie.

I don't know where you guys live/work, but most people will have some time before they can play and new MM restrictions are of course going to extend wait times

I would appreciate it if someone would explain how the current matchmaker works.

It is my understanding that the matchmaker decides on an ELO score for the match.

It then fills Team A as close to that ELO as possibe. With the current limitation of 1 group per side and 3/3/3/3.

After team A is filled it fills team B with the 1 group and 4x3 limitations.

Is this correct?

Hate to be a bit of a naysayer but that treb hero is very underwhelming and quite a disappointment, at least in standard loadout will have to see what the hardpoints are like before properly passing judgement. Like the paint scheme though.

Think the the firestarter is the bigger threat of the two here.

Oh edit:

When are you going fix the bloody random moving weapons it's doing my nut in on my jm6-s and my ex hbk-4g with barrels moving into the wrong and asymmetrical places.......

......old problem still not fixed!

Just curious, for the Treb's missile hard points, what are the tubes?

There are 3 Elo brackets: 0-1000, 1000-1500, and 1500+. You are put into that Elo queue, with the 3/3/3/3 limitation. They try to match exact tonnage first (55 ton vs 55 ton), but after a bit that opens up.

New visuals for trebs looks nice and it is making that chasis even more useful for what is supposed to do(50t LRM support).
Just them ACs on 7K looks rly funny xD .

I like how the bundles show you've read the forums. Still would like to see the Founders Bundle and weapon focused bundles (mechs that prioritize a single weapon or hard point style).

Like the Treb weapon customization as it was much needed. Also like the new Firestarter.

3/3/3/3 being implemented is good but it's still going to lead to problems.

Ok.

It told me that the shortest wait time would be light mechs, at 23%. Assault mechs had 24%, but I've still been in que for more than 2 minutes. Would light mechs really have been that much shorter a wait time?

Do these %'s really mean anything? Is 1% that much of a difference?

EDIT: Just hit the 3 minute mark, and still searching.

EDIT 2: Holy schmeckle! 4 minutes; still searching.

EDIT 3: ... 6 minutes. Still searching. I don't care what mech I take, that's unacceptable. I have NEVER waited that long for a drop (that is still searching as I type this) in more than a year and a half playing this game. What did you people do this time?

EDIT 4: I cancelled the search, searched again, and it took 4 minutes to find me a match... same mech.

After the wait is it the tonnage that opens up or the ELO range?

I have had quite a few matches with tonnage differences greater than 200.

Was I correct that it fills 1 team at a time? That is a raw deal for low ELO players. If you are at the bottom of the elo range your team gets filled with low elo players first then when it runs out the other team gets the better players. If the match is a high elo game the first team gets the available high elo players and when the matchmaker runs out it fills the other team with the available lower elo group.

Waited 10 minutes for a light, which was by far the fastest que time. What is up with this fail patch again? Can't you test things BEFORE you release them?

Btw still waiting too.

Two matches worked, and quickly. Five waited forever then gave up. All weight classes, and by myself. Something isn't working right.

Will be checking this out when I go home. Please keep 3/3/3/3 in this time, I'm so bored with FatCamp warrior online. I'll wait an extra minute or two for better matches.

cant comment on the hero but I am so happy that my 7m treb no longer uses a narc tube for every missile

Is it me, or is the playerbase dropping fast? I notice alot of the same players as my opponents.
