Just wondering if everyone else is seeing a HUGE delay after the patch today. I've timed it, and it's taken from 10-12 minutes from click to connecting to a match. Seems like one heckuva delay there folks, just sayin'... Was thinking about finally springing for a clan mech, but this issue turns me right off from that. Hoping it'll be addressed in short order...

Same here. I haven't found a match yet. Its been 5 minutes and counting.

You might want to actually check the forum next time. It's not just you, MM is screwed up yet again, also all missiles now mostly fail to damage their targets- SRM/LRM/Streak, any of them.

Nothing will launch right in MWO today.

I sincerely hope you guys aren't surprised..........it wouldn't be a patch day if PGI didn't screw something up. We are on 10 minutes and counting in search mode.

Yeah, tried to play. About a ten minute wait to get into my first match. After that I sat "searching" for 20 minutes before I just exited the game. The population/class percentages were reading almost all 25%, there's no reason it should take so long. The system is broken.

As PGI has seen fit to ensure that I have to wait 10 minutes to get into a game, I have decided that I will do my absolute best to ensure that ALL of my games last the full 15 minutes..........

Hey you know what PGI? Thanks for letting us try, and getting out new stuff to us as soon as you possibly can. I would rather this little wait thing, and you we getting to test new things, than wait for polish. Seriously.

Polish? That implies they actually push out something new and WORKING to begin.

Hint: They haven't gotten a functional matchmaker patch in the past three tries, meaning the "new" has actually been the same-old-same-old...and managed to break more in the process. SRMs just reverted to "broken" along with every other missile type thrown in for good measure.

When my hopes for a patch are "Please, don't let them destroy something else", things have gone horribly wrong.

Nope you can't, some of them will DC before 10 minutes is up.

I played 3 games over 78 mins today after the patch. Was attempting another when I lost server connection.

Done with this game until they roll back the patch or fix the problems.

I was able to get two matches in this evening... time increased as the night went on. ~20 minutes of waiting for my last match and I gave up. I decided to try out testing grounds (after using the repair tool) but again ran into that "connecting" issue which prevented me from playing and ruined that experience. I haven't been able to play testing ground for weeks without this issue. Times like this make me question my investments in this game.

Right... I would rather them strive and fail than tumbleweeds. Remember the long gap during phoenix when patches had nothing at all? They're reaching, they're trying hard and stumbling. I would rather they throw stuff at us, break the game, and then fix it, than tip toe around issues because they are afraid to eff up what they do have.

That means I'm in the same place as you, but dont' value my gametime quite as much. I would rather that they break the game for a week trying something, than that they internally work on it for 2 months and then roll it out unbroken without us having had input in on it, and it still not being what we wanted, which is how it has gone.

I would rather be a crash test dummy than be handed a gift wrapped pile of crap.

Get it?

*shrugs* Nothing ever work the way it should after a patch... nomater how big the company and no matter how small the game. That have been the general experience for me over the years.

Hopped on last night about 8PM PST to "test" the new patch. Heavy and medium mechs. Shorter wait time than before the patch. Only got a couple of matches in, though.

Later in the night, around 10:30PM PST, wait time still shorter than over the weekend. In fact, it felt much shorter. Often under 30 seconds before the "connecting..." notification comes up.

I'm guessing the huge wait time at the beginning right after the patch was due to the MM reset, then it stabilized and started working normally.

Not sure about the 4/4/4 thing, but had a few matches with more lights than the normal 3-4. One match I had 5 lights and a Cicada on my team. I did noticed in one match what looks to be a premade on the enemy team's beta lance. I thought new patch only allow one premade per team. Could have been just some PUGs grouping themselves into a lance because of the same faction affiliation. Don't really know.

Haven't really played a whole lot yet after the patch, but there didn't seem to be any HUGE difference for me. Have to wait until I get to play more.
