Clan Invasion/community Warfare Update - June 17 Is Almost Here.

According to this June 17th is the date of the next big game module. Should you be telling us a little about what you've done so far regarding the June 17th patch? Are you on schedule? All we see from you is a constant barage of ridiculous mech sale cash grabs. For God's sake, please just close your business so someone else can finish the game properly.

However, that apparently says Clan Invasion (the package release) on the 17th.

Confidence is very high that worst case scenario is the completion of the entire Community Warfare feature set as we currently understand it by Early to Mid-fall.
Given that.. this seem marginally on time. Though they should be a bit more forward about info on the Clans as we get closer and closer to June.
Association is the very first aspect of Community Warfare, so its pretty clear that CW as of December, was not going to hit in time for the Clan package release, and instead Community Warfare going to happen between "July and August."
It's not when the launch party said it, but at the very least I can respect that Russ did put something out about when it would happen, and the dates stated were met. Even if the Launch Module's chosen 3/3/3/3 aspect has been a complete failure. I think PGI is learning how immensely complex the system they are using to make matches is getting.
That said, give them time. With a team of 45 people, they've taken way too much onto their plate and they need time to chew through it.

20 people? You say that so non chalantly. What happen to the rest of the team Russ worked into that same State of the Innersphere?

The "20" people in art have been busy with random trinkets and paint jobs for Clan mechs, 3D models, etc., and any extras modifying ones like the Trebuchet. That ties up anyone and everyone to do with half of the map design.
The scripters are busy. This ties up the most important part of the map design, since unlike normal games the server's version of the map is entirely non-graphical. They're quite heavily at work obviously.
This leaves 7 people that Russ mentioned, internal testers. Definitely NOT enough to test anything major even with other developers participating. Hence the public testing on occasion and severe imbalances every now and then using regular players to test changes. For example the brief spike of LRM super speed? Testing.
Considering NGNG seems to have access before anyone else, its pretty obvious they are called upon to test as well. (How else would they have access to heroes to release videos on them 1 to 3 days before the patch?) But even NGNG isn't enough to truly test anything large scale like the 3/3/3/3 system.
Back on topic though. Every date I seen in Russ's post has been met. The only failure is the launch module; but even that is a partial failure as most of the module works. Just not the last minute changes they tried to put in with 3/3/3/3 which was a fool's errand to begin with.

I think we won't see any real CW before Christmas.
If you can see on their Clan mech release schedule ,they will be releasing clan mechs until november, experience shows that they will be adding new features after that period
So maybe they will add something to see your loyalty points but don't expect something really fancy..
They are busy with Clan mechs, clan technology, matchmaker problems, UI 2.0, and after that a whole lot of balancing / hero mechs and cockpit items..

With all due respect Koniving, we've heard this song and dance before. Remember when CW was weeks away from being implemented, only to be told on the date it was supposed to be coming that they hadn't even started yet? Yeah I do, meanwhile PGI continues to pump out Hero mechs and champion mechs and Overlord/Clan packages hand over foot.
I love Battletech, I was more than happy to go the founders route to support my favorite IP finally not sitting in a vault for a decade and finally seeng it get some love, but not like this, then we find out that some of the founders money went to other titles which should have been inexcusable. With one cash grab after another while actual content besides mechs that cost money never see the light of day. We haven't even gotten a new map in nearly 6 months. So I'd love to know what all those content makers are actually doing with all this time with very little to show for it beyond Hero mechs and cockpit items.
There's going to be a breaking point for every player where if CW does not see the light of day people are just going to move on to other games. PGI really needs to look at long term survivability rather than short term cash grabs.My breaking point is nearly up, if there's little to no progress on getting a planetary map and some form of CW ala MPBT:3025 in by the end of the year here, I'll likely be moving on to Star Citizen or just other titles in general until either time that PGI gets their stuff together, or Microsoft decides to stop treating the IP like a red headed stepchild and finally produces a full fledged Mech Warrior 5, and the way it's currently going, I certainly won't be holding my breath for either of those things to happen.
I would love to be proved wrong however.

I don't think we'll see CW, period. For CW to work we'd need enough players to keep a healthy base for all factions. Right now I can often play several games against/with a couple of players I recognize several matches in a row. Like maybe a year ago we could have had enough players to make it work, now I think the player base is simply too small. MWO for me is just and will always be a couple of matches with mechs, get some CBills and maybe pick up a new mech that tickle my fancy. Wishing (and paying) for anything beyond that I have no doubt will be setting yourself up for disappointment.

At least they found time to put in 3PV though! That was really important to this simulator <vomiting into mouth slightly>. For the moment I'm sticking to my guns and not using my premium time until there's something to fight over on a map. I would be on all the time for that. Lately I've been on much less due to the repetitiveness.
