Sounds like you need to learn to play. I run a Shadow Hawk 2D2. Has 4 Streaks, 1 UAC5 and 2 Medium Lasers a lot of the time.
No AMS and no ECM of course.
LRMs have never, ever once killed me without me making a very stupid mistake. Even when they were 170ms, the only time they killed me was when I was too busy chatting with a PGI employee and Vassago in a game.
If I can do it, while sitting on my couch, playing on a 60 inch TV...i'm pretty sure any normal person sitting at a proper desk in front of a monitor should be able too.
If you can't, that is totally your failure and maybe you should stop looking at LRMs and start figuring out how you can make yoruself a better player.
Now then, this problem is a MISSILE problem, not an LRM problem. And on top of that ANOTHER stupid issue from this patch.
Lets focus on the fact that PGI is having a very hard time doing any sort of quality control at this point, while pimping Clan mechs and having shown 0 progress on CW.
Whatever you say man I'm just saying it is nice not to have to play entire matches dodging LRMs if only for a short time and they are mostly balanced, though indirect fire and firing arcs could use some nerfing, from my point of view. And no I don't get killed by them often, my issue is that I hate having to spend a large portion of the game not getting killed by LRMs, while I usually cannot even return fire because it is an assault 'mech sitting behind a hill, or otherwise out of LoS. Although I also think you are full of bs. You have your way which is fine, and I have mine and for the record I hold a better than 3 to 1 kdr when I am in practice, I haven't played much recently so that isn't currently true though. But my skill and play style, aside from being able to play without missiles LRMs, SRMs or SSRMs, has nothing to do with any of this, instead of bitching and complaining, I take it for what it is and enjoy the change for the short time it is, and as for my original post, just making fun of some of our griefers who come out and complain like it's the end of the world for every little or not so little bug that pops up, take it and try something else from what you normally do instead, use an AC/5/PPC poptart or whatever else you like or stop coping everyone else and try something completely new, maybe it'll work, maybe it won't, the fun of a game like this with customization like this isn't just coping whatever seems to be the best 'mech concept seems to be the best at the time, it's about experimentation an being unique. Have I tried poptarts? yes, I ran a Heavy Metal for a long time with 2 AC/5, 2 ERPPCs, from the day it was released, got bored of it though, I basically had the Cataphract champion long before the champion version came out, I like mine better, and I have used a Stalker LRMboat too. On the other hand, I bought a Firebrand solely to have the closest thing I could get to a legitimate Rifleman, made a flamer based BattleMaster for lolz, and have had several very successful Blackjack variants, including trying to make it in to a poor mans Shadow Cat when it first came out. Also the only 2 'mechs I haven't owned are the Firestarter, of which I was never a fan, and the Banshee, which I haven't got around to yet, currently working up some C-bills to add engines to all my 'mechs that are lacking them.

We have tracked down the issue with the missile damage(LRMs, SRMs and Streaks) and a fix has been made. Right now we are currently doing an internal test before we kick off a hot fix later today.
Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. We appreciate the support and feedback.
no inconvenience there are plenty of other weapons out there
