Not really a competing product (which is why I'm in Off Topic), but this is a price point where I would probably pay MWO regularly instead of just bitching a lot.

At 39.99/6mo it's almost too cheap to even care about. Even in that lump payment, it happens so infrequently you wouldn't blink. I mean hell how many of us paid twice that every month for World of Warcraft for YEARS? At that price I really would consider just paying for this game and forgetting about it, since premium really is super awesome.

I think PGI needs to look at longevity and not burst purchases. Sure, they've made a killing already but they could probably 'reactivate' a lot of disgruntled older players by seriously cutting the cost of premium time.

Do it like GRP did PGI - sell premium time DIRECTLY FOR CASH, not in a cash-for-coins-for-premium system. That way you don't 'devalue' your current pricepoint for MC, since it still buys exactly what it buys, and premium time can just become a recurring bill people forget about.

I agree, that I would purchase a sub to MWO if offered. I would expect it to come with Premium time for the whole month, and a small stipend of MC. I feel like that would be completely fair, and I'd still end up buying a hero every now and then.

As opposed to buying MC and spending all but a small stipend on premium time? :)

S3dition, Indeed that is true. I was thinking 30 days premium was 2800-3000 (I'm still using my founders Premium time as I banked it for quite a while). That leaves 500 MC as a stipend which is ok. I still think if they had a nice sub setup they could get people to sub onto that easy if it had a couple perks (like a silly item similar to The Secret World). However, good catch again S3dition.

It's all good. I think most F2P games set up their premium currency so that it can be used as a sort of monthly subscription. You spend 90% of it on premium time and keep a little for yourself.
