Hey ho and welcome to AUS's terrible idea #34.
So, there's many ideas out there that could help fix the whole 'peek-a-boo' gameplay we have now. I'm not saying this gameplay is bad; it's a legitimate tactic, but it's kinda dull how every match is either that or a chaotic slaughter. So, here's my probably very bad idea:
Add a significant bonus to your C-Bill earnings based on your armour. Now, bear with me... the more damage your armour/internals take during the match, the more of a bonus you get. HOWEVER, if you end up dying, that bonus gets nuked and maybe the other stuff you earned as well.
That might... MIGHT... encourage people to risk their asses a bit more and not be so paranoid of having a LRM chip off a piece of that lovely armour. Right? RIGHT? Good idea, yes?

No people will take a shot - and then they will hide.
Because they fear they can lost that they didn't have earned yet.
While I would like a bonus for taken damage - the current reward system is pure horror - you get payed for stuff but not for winning or real team work. This idea would only increase the daftness.
"Hohey you [insert insult here] i have dealt more damage and more kills as you and i tanked more - you are [insult here] and [insult your family] and [insult your sex] ....
Even if this guys are the reason why your team already did loose.
TLDR
People won't risk what they fear to earn. Or in other words if i move to the lottery and you hold me back (reason is irrelevant) and i can't take part at the lottery i can fault you that you have taken my billions from me...

I remember asking a team mate to shoot off one of my legs at the end of a match to get the bad company thingy and that other one where you have highest damage and 1 leg left. I could see people asking their team mates to blast stuff off just so they could increase their earnings at the end of the match. I have those matches in mind where the last guy is a disco, so the winning team spends the rest of the time on the ticker blasting off armor and components to farm C-Bills. 
This would also work to the advantage of suicide farmers since they get more from that tactic with this system than before.
I would rather see the rewards for capping the base in assault go up significantly (like in early open beta) as well as the bonus for resource points in conquest.

I dunno, I actually kind of like this "terrible idea". For me, I'd rather get paid to take a beating while fighting than not, although that can have an unprecedented consequence or two.
For instance, in assault mode you decide to attack the enemy base alone. By dumb luck all your enemies are too busy/don't care and leave you to your work. So you can kill all them turrets AND take a beating doing it (those laser ones are the worst!) and earn even more "easy" cash.
If that worked out, you might end up with a lot of people trying to do that more instead of fighting. I have no idea where it would go from there...
Long story short, though, I want more C-bills for actually trying to commit myself in battle!

Also want this - anybody wants this.
But you know there are games were you did everything right - you died for the team on Assault - they were able to rush and capture the base in no time - but it was you and two other guys that hold the others back...you inflict some damage - but of course no assist - non of those 3 that die this day.
- Capture
- No Assist
- No Kill
- Dead
- No Salvage
- Few Damage
Other game -
- stupid suicide rush by myself
- didn't deal damage
- but shot at 6 or 7 enemys
- that where killed
- team lost
- if i didn't have commit suicide we did have won
- Again hardly any damage, but salvage and assists....i think it was about 100.000 Cbills
- So at one hand you have a clear stunning victory that reward you less as a defeat?
- As said the complete reward system is broken.
