Hello Mechpilots,

there are a lot of issues with making the 3-3-3-3 matching possible.

So here is my (mostly) own idea about matching:

- give all wepons, equipment chasis a BV to get a idea how powerfull the Mech will be
- add ELO value to BV
- use the ELO+BV value to get two team's with almost the same value

This could be tweaked in many ways and should produce more reliable results than trying to get the Tonnage or Mech weight class.

Let me know what you think.

Regards

Problem using a BV system is its game-able. The BV system(s) for TT were really bad. Give a math solution and players will figure out how to bend it to their will.

A second idea would be that you have to select a Light, Medium, Heavy and Assault Mech in the drop menu.
Then you have different gameplays:

- Get on of the 4 assigned random
- You have 4 round/lives each with another Mech

There is a similar system used in the MMOG Warthunder, you can rejoin the match till you run out of air-plains.

The second link in my sig presents a BV system which cannot really be manipulated by players, as it constantly adapts.

I don't have the energy to read it all of that post and stay awake. I am in Goldfish mode, sorry. I would love to give this a roll with some of my old buddies in the commandos though. see if we can break it! :D

I don't have time to read you full post right now. Maybe later. But if it is a good BV solution, the I will support it.
PGI really needs to do something before they lose to much players.
Having a good matching and good game modes is very importent to multiplayer online games!
