What a waste of money. Maybe it helps if some spider or firestarter is pinging you with one ac2 from 800m, but when you're actually getting hit by anything serious it makes no functional difference.

Advanced Zoom, Advanced Seismic, Artillery Strike, Air Strike seem to be the only good modules for a direct fire mech, along with target info gathering mod when you have an extra spot.

Am I missing something, or is the improved gyro module useless?

Probably a mistake on your part...I wouldn't know for sure since I don't own one (and am not going to buy it).

depends what your rolling so far , I have advanced target decay and soon to be advanced sensor range , bet you cant guess what I'm rolling.. Havent used gyro didn't look that good lrms and acs are the only things that screen shake as far as I know. Lrms are easy to dodge , acs meh rarely get shaken by them .

What is the % improvement Advanced Gyro gives?

Advanced Target Decay is good for direct fire mechs as it gives you an indication of the direction your target is heading towards. You can use this to set up the next phase of engagement.

Yeah that isn't much of an improvement. I'd call it an edge at best.

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry, couldn't help it. Perhaps next time when you wish to spend multimillion C-Bills and buttloads of GXP , do consult us folks in the forums first?

The percentage isn't listed in game.

I have all the other modules that matter. Advanced target decay, sensor range, etc.

QFT there...plus, target decay and sensor range can be great on lighter mechs as well for scouting purposes (your LRMboat PUG players will enjoy them, anyway). I do keep Adv. Seismic to switch to every mech I use though...IMO, it's gotta be the best module for pure support. If nothing else...it's a possible warning that something's about to hit your back before it's too late...

I have an irrational need for target info gathering on just about everything I run with any frequency.

I want to know where those damaged sections are .. NAO!

on a slightly off topic what ever happened to the weapon buff modules? they put all that effort into creating them, release small subset of them and it has been crickets on the subject since.

Also useless: hill climb and all of the weapon range extend modules

A brawler assault with multiple lurm and ac-toting hostiles on him might benefit from this. But he'd still be blinded by super-immersive realistic explosions, blur, distortion and smoke so it don't make no difference.

It is just enough to allow you to fire back and hit your target, instead of being shaken so much that you cannot reliably hit your target. I would say that was well worth the paltry 2 mil cbills it costs.
