1) Lasers require more skill to use for lower reward
2) Lasers spread damage around which is bad
3) Lasers cut off mid-beam if you shutdown after firing (while the PPC still fires for full damage)
4) With the exception of the ML and ERLL, which have their niches, other weapons are outright better.

Lasers suck vs internals.

Large laser has more cooldown time than PPC.
