Largest infusion of mechs at one time in MWO's history and still no new ECM mechs.
If ECM is so powerful that you guys are actively avoiding chassis that have it, then just fix it.
You have a million idea's on how to do it resulting in infinitely better play and yet consistently stubbornly stick to the bad idea that is: "ECM"
Too powerful to give to other mechs and too stubborn to change it.

While none of the listed variants come with ECM built-in, there is no official word on whether any come with ECM hardpoints.
Remember, most mechs don't have AMS either, yet I can't think of one mech that doesn't have at least one AMS hardpoint.

I suppose it is possible that we could get a few ECM hard points from additional omni pods. It was nice to get some details but we still need much much more.

CDA-X5 have no AMS hardpoint.

While it is possible to get omnipods with ECM hardpoints it seems highly unlikely. Even with the release of new mechs, some of which have ECM variants within the current 'timeline' we still haven't seen any. The Stalker 3Fb has ECM and that is the only difference it has from the 3F there is also a Firestarter with ECM but PGI chose not to use that one either. It would be nice to see a Heavy mech get some ECM love as currently its basically lights or the DDC.

How are we going to have Clan vs IS if the Clans have no ECM? Guess the IS has the tech edge this time around.

Agree with the OP. Either ECM is fine as is and lots of new variants and heroes should be released with it, or it's too good to allow new chassis or heroes to carry and needs to be reworked (preferably along with the rest of the information warfare 'pillar'). Both statements cannot simultaneously be true.

Real clanners don't need ECM, that whole honor thing... ECM is sneaky. Good thing I'm not a clanner

This is ridiculous. No one is more cowardly and duplicitous t than Clanners, all Clanner Mexchs should have ECM.

Nah, only IS should get ECM as they have the better tech. Fully customizable mechs, FLD weapons, etc. Clans are like cavemen in comparison!

Of course not Carrion.
As I predicted, the Inner Sphere are the Clans themselves.
When the Houses finally decided to stop quarreling, House Wolf spies were ordered and tasked to report on Inner Sphere Clans, telling tales of terrifying technology: "Their electronic warfare ability surpasses our own, with almost near ability to prevent missile weapon systems from being used... Battlefields as far as the eye can see where husks of 'Mechs litter the battlefield where Innersphere Clans laid waste to any other Inner Sphere Clanner that refused to or were unable to keep up with the incredible ability to upgrade their 'Mechs into whole new designs, to become something else... entirely... something they call 'The Great Meta Technology.'"
Jokes aside, I imagine some things will happen.
1. They will add imaginary ECM to 2 to 4 separate Clanner 'Mechs (50% Chance)
2. They will acknowledge ECM has been an issue for a long time and completely redo it. (0% Chance)
3. ? (50% Chance)
I'm putting my money on that initially nothing will happen. ECM on no Clan Mechs, no changes to ECM. Since it'll just be a mixed queue for the public mode. The comments above definitely lay out the issue plainly: If ECM is considered "balanced" then it is pretty odd that it only appears on 3 additional Mechs that never had it, but has never been added to any Hero 'Mech or anything else. If a piece of equipment in any game is so troublesome that players consider it "p2w" by adding to anything that requires real money only, then something is probably wrong. Other than that, I got nothing, I've discussed the issue too many times in the past - I've given up on making suggestions about it, its all up to PGI now.
