I would like to point out something I posted over at the MW:LL forums regarding using the information in the BT/CBT milieu:
I have to point this out....
It is spelled "canon", not "cannon", unless you are referring to ordnance
The proper spelling for the word that means "material that is considered to be genuine" is "canon". A "cannon" is either A large mounted weapon that fires heavy projectiles (a gun, howitser, or mortar) or an aircraft weapon that fires explosive shells. The former is what the BT material is considered, the Longtom is an example of the latter. (BTW, both are nouns) Start using the proper word for the proper discussion.
If you are willing to argue that you can spell it the way you want because others will know what you mean, do not waste our time. This is not a situation like "lie" and "lie" which are two words that mean different things despite the same spelling. One is a noun (a lie), the other a verb (to lay down) in that case.
Ha! Agreed entirely with this point, even though I may have been guilty(I try to be careful, but if I don't see read underline I sometimes miss mistakes such as this). However you left out that it can make for some good punning... If puns are your thing.
On the Clanner/Clansman/men thing, I take your point, though many may be undecided or on the fence about choosing their allegiance maybe. Agree though that Clansmen(and Claswomen) especially must take extra care with there use of language... If they want to stay in character that is.

Nobody can really say yet. And Clanspheres would be called "The Homeworlds" (please read the fiction and review as much BT information as possible) Since the Clans will not show for some time, I am hoping that there will indeed be a "Homeworlds" server or two where Clan-centric players can prepare for the invasion and relearn what it means to be Clansmen..

Aff Star is 5 mechs. Aff a Binary is 2 Stars (10 Mechs) and a Cluster is 3 Binaries (30 Mechs). I had a look at that wiki too, that table they have is confusing but from what I gather it wouldn't neccesarily be 5 Mechs in a star it could be a point of infantry or elementals or even vehicles. So having 30 mechs in a cluster wouldnt probably happen knowing what the Clans are like with resources. Not sure on how the freeborns want to line up so long as i'm there to knock um down =)

Your statement is not quite correct. Standard Clan military doctrine states groupings as follows:
1 Point = 1 Mech (or 5 Elementals or 2 ASFs)
1 Star = 5 Points
(1 Nova = 1 Mech Star + 1 Elemental Star)
1 Binary = 2 Stars
1 Trinary = 3 Stars
(1 Supernova = 2 Mech Stars + 2 Elemental Stars)
1 Cluster = 3-5 Binaries or 3-5 Trinaries or 3-5 Supernovas (30 to 75 Points)
1 Galaxy = 3-5 Clusters (90 to 375 Points)
As for IS military groupings : (just to clarify)
1 Unit = 1 Mech (have to read up Tanks Infantry and ASFs)
1 Lance = 4 Units
1 Company = 3 Lances (12 Units)
1 Battalion = 3 Companies (36 Units)
1 Regiment = 3-5 Battalions (108 - 180 Units)
1 Brigade = 3-5 Regiments (324 - 900 Units)
1 Division = 3 Brigades (972 - 2700 Units)

And btw, some Clans field clusters with 6 trinaries, as well as galaxies with 6 clusters.

and clan mech
(clan, Ghost Bear)
(clan mech, Timberwolf)
O/
Mine has to be either Goliath Scorpion or Hells Horses
As for Mechs? Anything I can climb into and blow things up in..... preferably a long distance shooter. I've done good things with the ankle biter style mechs.

As you can see, we've added a Clan (chat) section to our forums. The reason for this is to give a specific place to talk about Clan related issues, such as:
- Favourite Clan mech
- Favourite Clan
- Clan Tech
My favorite clan mech is the TimberWolf, clan Wolf (Warden), and elemental warrior.

My favorite of the invading clans has to be Clan wolf, im a staunch warden, gotta love em. After than Ghost bear and sea fox later on.
The artemis system is a pretty good piece of tech but i like the Clan lazers and AC's, more umph less weight.
