Purchased a Masakari pack as well. I came in not long after release, and I've enjoyed playing with my Phoenix mechs a great deal...but limited time to play means I'd rather get the mechs up front, and spend the cbills I earn equipping them. Which is probably PGI's dream situation.

So far, other than needing (a) a fix for SLI in-match, ( a fix for mechlab issues at multi-screen resolutions, and (c) wanting more maps, I can't say I'm upset with PGI's work since I bought in, and I'm happy to give them a bit more money for a wider variety of mechs as the phoenixes have been broken in for some time. I trust that CW and the other improvements will come in time.

If I had the money. I would get the Timberwolf. Maybe, Direwolf also. Both are good. However, those are the only 3050 Clan Mechs I like.

I'm going to (before the may reward ends) buy the Nova pack. I don't have any particular reason like nostalgia because this is actually the first battletech / mechwarrior title I play. The mech just seem nice and they aren't too expensive. These were also the reasons for buying the Storm pheonix pack, which I don't regret buying.

I actually didn't pay for it out of pocket really, I'm in college and have a year to go, I have been clearing out my room back home and sold off a lot of my old game consoles and games as I cant take them with me, that and selling off old stuff that was collecting dust. $20 here and $30 there adds up quickly. considering MWO and some minecraft is all I really have time for I figured what the hell.

Despite all the problems this game has it has given me far more entertainment than any other game and that's counting the 5 years of WoW under my belt before I finally quit that game.

I feel similar - though I probably would have gone more for the Kit Fox, Adder, or Nova, myself.

Similar - except I traded working for my sister for the Warhawk package.

Nice to see I am not the only one enjoying the game for what it is though.

Pretty sure you ignored me when I lowered myself to your level the other day, but hi anyways. Still waiting on a reason to spell out for you why I have no hope left for PGI. Or are you really so blindly in love with this game that you can't look back at all the negative things that have happened? Were there positives? Of course. It's a shame they're outnumbered 10 to 1 by the negatives and poor decisions. Unless of course you were referring to somebody else, in which case: I'm myself too much credit.

Non of it. One thing is to buy "cheap" MC for 100$ (very hard to "find" so much money within a year), and to buy about 6 Heroes + many Bays, and other thing is to buy 3 "Pseudo-Hero" (Nova, MadCat, Dire Wolf) for 135$. Why? Because the second cost 3-times more (pro Mech) than the other!

And 500$ ??? Ye, that cost much more then my PC+Monitor+Co in whole... !!!

I bought the Masakari package, you can probably see from the shinies to the left that I'm a collector.
If you're low on cash it might be best to go with just the Dire Wolf or Timberwolf, they're probably the best of the bunch.

Arent the clans a bunch of people who ran away when the star league or w/e fell into total disarray and crap?

THey just came back years later with vastly superior technology and better warriors and curb stomped the IS until the Clans honor code and IS numbers overcame them. Then the clans use honor system or w/e and dont help each other...always bidding to take w/e area with the least amount of stuff....or so ive heard. Clans kinda beat themselves it sounded lol. IS made alliances to kill the clans, clans fought solo.

I dont think either of them are good or bad, just like none of the houses are good or bad....kinda like our modern day governments...all equally fubar and twisted in the head....

The Clans are using the system of bidding and Trials to conserve resources and avoid an all-out bloodshed that is classic warfare. There may also be alliances between Clans, Snow Raven and Ghost Bear being a classic example. And even the most Crusader-minded clans do their best to keep their own populace in decent shape. I believe the only truly "evil" and twisted in the head Clans were Smoke Jaguar and (partially) corrupted Burrock, and it did not work out well for them. Factor in a (more or less) democratic social mobility system, compare that to Inner Sphere rule of nobility over the proles, and the Clans start to look that much more civilised than both the Inner Sphere and many IRL governments and social systems.

I did the Uller just to get the current rewards, if I knew I could have bought it months ago and got all the bonuses that would have been smart.

Will more than Likely upgrade to the masakari...if they release info how everything is supposed to pan out! I HATE grinding, I'd rather work a few hours of OT and pay.

if they did something for the flood victims over in Europe where $50 of the Masakari package went to them I'd snap it up right away.
