Congrats to the victors in our various Trials of Position tonight!

In incredible battles, all of our warriors acquitted themselves as Mechwarriors worthy of Theta Galaxy membership.

Mechwarriors Nods22 and Nathanoo fought brutal contests that saw them forced to eject. In each case, the warriors brought their foes to the edge of the precipice before falling valiantly, and in the case of Nathanoo who fought in a Trial Mech (option 3), a near victory in a lesser Mech!

Blooded Warrior Isimode dispatched a foe in cagey, long range combat.

Blooded Warrior Gigastrike fought and overcame three opponents, all in close fights to emerge as a new Blood Officer, whose skills and cunning will be brought to bear to Blood all new Mechwarriors in the future, during their Trials of Position!

They will add their ferocity and cunning to our Touman. Their skill in battle shall send our enemies screaming in the night, running from fang and venom!

As a key component of the Star Adder Touman, what should you expect from a unit such as the Smoke Adders lore-wise?

We value pragmatism. We see the value in all members of our Galaxy, from trueborn to freebirth, from cheche to bondsmen and abtakha. Our pragmatism kept our primary forces out of the initial invasion, as we refused to undercut our bids to failing levels, thus necessitating the creation of Theta Galaxy, the "Smoke Adders."

Our pragmatism allows us to see the value of the Crusader cause, the need to instill change in the Inner Sphere via the capture of Terra, even as we show a steady and restrained hand in our raids and eventually, as the invasion begins, our future conquests.

That pragmatism may make outsiders seem less than reverent to the the Great Father and the Founder. Make no mistake, while we do not attach the same mysticism to their legacies as some choose to do, we understand all too well the impact of our historical forefathers and their roles in our ascension as a pre-eminent Clan.

Theta Galaxy is the tip of the spear, pointed at Terra.

Tonight upwards of eight warriors face Trials of Position, as well as a competition for a highly coveted Blood Officer position. Many preach practice, teamwork, tactics and effort....but few practice these things.

Join the Smoke Adders tonight for 12-man practices running the gamut from pure-tech DROPDEC's (pure IS or pure Clan runs) and mixtech DROPDEC's as we continue to prepare for the invasion. We run both competitive scrimmages and internal 12 on 12 practices to prepare ourselves for community warfare in full!

Thursday - Dedicated 12-man practices focused on Clan-pure/IS-pure DROPDECs in preparation for CW/MCW Season 4!

Events are never mandatory, but obviously which ones players attend tend to illustrate where their interests lie and how they can best contribute to the Touman! See it for yourself.

So are we but we are saddened to see the restriction on Clan Mechs. We know of at least two units of solid players who are no longer going to sign up for MCW simply because of the dearth of opportunities to use Clan mechs at some point in the tourney.

Tonight, three sibkin compete in their Trials of Position, as well as one Mechwarrior. This is a long standing tradition in Clan-lore based units made easy with private lobbies. Our unit will have over a dozen pilots likely competing for the Blood Officer Position opening as well, making for a great night of small unit clashes and individual duels, before we transition to 12-man practices in preparation for tournaments such as MCW and of course, PGI's oft promised community warfare!
