How in the world do I tell what equipment a mech has when trying to buy it? Engine, hardpoints, etc, so you know what your buying exactly????

Go to Mechlab, change the top filter from "Owned" to "Purchaseable" click on a mech to highlight it and click on the blue "mech details" button in the lower right. Don't use the "store."

Yeah, I can safely say this UI we have atm is horrific....what was PGI thinking designing this thing?

It took me like 20minutes of sitting there searching, clicking this...nope, not that...ok..home, lets try this again.

Ahh...there that is....ok, how did I do that? ok..there we go.

Then to boot, when I hit finish purchases on my mech 2 times it decided to overwrite and combine my inital loadout and my new one. I once left a MPL on my mech when I clearly click, drag, drop x2 on both MPL. Then another time it put back on my SRMs and its ammo after I had dropped em both and swapped em to SSRM. In that same loadout, it put my GR back on my mech despite me taking it off for an AC10 and all its ammo...

The mechlab is a little bugged with removing parts. Saving inbetween should fix it. The last patch brought about some bug fixes but i don't know if that was one of them.

I think the UI team went for UI cohesion and consistency with regards to menu placement, not practicality. Good news is, it is easier for them to change compared to the old UI (whenever they have the manpower and time to actually do it).
