Are the social phases based on the number of people buying in, or is it based on the total money raised?

In theory, it should be either.

In reality, it is PGI's picture at the time.

Pretty sure it's total money.

Based on neither. Just a marketing scheme to attempt to get people to purchase more packages.

I was leaning more towards it being the total number of buyers, based on them being called social rewards. One guy spending over 9000 dollars isn't really "social."

That is pretty lame. Phase 1 was to give us the Polygon camo itself...this implies that we could have somehow been given the camo without the colors, had we not reached phase 2. :P That's kind of impossible. If we have the camo, we GET the camo colors by default. They only did this for filler. ;)

Maybe. That's how the camo/colors work on the hero and founder/phoenix/clan package variants. But that's not how camos work in the store.

The "trap" is that the camo does have its own colors. I'm not sure how UI 2.0 handles it, but back in UI 1.5... selecting the camo tended to auto-select the colors for purchase... increasing the overall cost of the transaction.

Oh well.

They changed something and now you can mouseover each reward.

Phase 1: polygon camo
phase 2: polygon colors (gray...)
phase 3: MWO coffee mug (cockpit item, I wish it was real)
phase 4: Sonic Boom Warhorn.

Sonic... BOOOOOOOOM!
