Dear Developers,

Please can we see a line up of the clan mechs to scale against each other and/or against some of our more popular IS variants such as the Atlas. Still sitting on the fence and would love to see how their scales compare

Challenge accepted?

Cheers

WB

p.s. I know people have been trying to guesstimate the scale but would like something more official.

If my 50 tonner isn't the size of a 90 tonner, I would be so happy.

If the 35tonners werent the size of the average 6ft man id be happy....

An Atlas is what? 6m tall? A commando is what? 3? why they so much smaller in this game? Commando is like the size of a 1 story building while the Atlas and bigger mechs are the size of an Overlord Dropship....

light mechs are scaled down so theyre harder to kill. theyd be a joke if they were their canon size. jenners would be one-third the size of atlases and nobody would have trouble hitting them at all.

IDK why they cant be that big, considering they are already fast as hell....why all the arbitrary bull crap balancing mechanics...ugh.

Cuz heaven forbid a Light mech not be able to 1v1 an Assault and win...heaven forbid that Light mech actually have to flank and support his buddies, rather than being a 1man super hero...

because big + fast = easy to hit.

small + fast = harder to hit

Generally true. A medium running 120 is often easier to accurately hit than a light running 97. For me anyway. In the combination of size+speed, size matters a bit more once you get over a certain speed.

Lol, so my guess is the Adder, since its a squat little chicken legged mech is half the size of a Commando, while packing 2 c/ ER PPC by default lol. Nova, since its a 50t medium will somehow be the size of a Hunchback...cuz its a Medium.

The Masakari and Direwolf will be taller then an Atlas and wider then an Awesome, but as long as a Stalker.

The Thor I know is a pretty tall mech as well....it will prolly be somewhere around the size of a Thunderbolt prolly...

The point is that I would like to see the scale before they are released to decide if I want to bu them or not.

Don't buy them until you see what they can do and what they plan on doing with them. As of now it looks like they're just going to be adding mechs into the same game we already got. Most of them look like junk and few look good .

Are clan mechs on the PTS? And when does PTS actually even work?

scale!, I don't think there's any doubt that the 2 landpigs will be able to get shot to pieces from 1000 meters out, due to there huge upper torsos. just wanted to clarify that the Warhawk and Dire Wolf always had a big torso, not sure how PGI scales the mech I guess the exterior size + volumePosted Image

The best we'll be able to hope for (because god forbid the PTS actually prove useful for anything), is to look at the screenshots as they're release, hope they're on a map that's also released (not that I'm expecting even one new map anytime soon), then park an IS mech in more or less the the same spot and have a friend take a screenshot from as close to the same angle as they can.

I am not sure about the size of the Commando, but the Devs have stated that the Atlas is 12-13 meters tall. And you do realize a 6 meter tall Commando is 18 ft tall not 6 ft. On average the lights are about 8 meters tall. That's 24 ft tall. That is huge for any machine.

Lights will be the size of a Cicada, everything else will be the size of a Highlander except the Daishi which will be more like the size of a Stalker. Balance!

Please shrink my Dire Wolf to 20 tonner scale. That will be hilarious.....for me. Probably suck for everyone else.

The Atlas as far as I could tell, is set at 18M in MWO.
