Probably my third time now making a post complaining about LRMs, where you've fixed them, unfixed them, then fixed them again. Why the hell do LRMs fly at mach 6 now? What in god's name could this do to balance anything? Why are weapons constantly being changed when this game isn't considered a beta anymore? What the hell makes you people think it's a good idea for your game's future to constantly change weapons people have gotten accustomed to performing a certain way, only to drop those expectations out from underneath them every other week?

Was considering getting a Masakari Clan pack, but seriously considering investing my money in a new phone versus this game because you can't leave things alone. Get used to the concept of people naturally siding towards one weapon over another, instead of trying to force your community to use the weapons you want them to because it goes against your "model", a model at this point that looks like it was drawn on the back of a cereal box versus planned out methodically over a long period of time.

Question: Do you really wish for me to say why LRMs needed the speed buff? The many ways to counter and dodge them? The fact that they are still only best within 600 or less meters? Or that other weapons (with statistics if I can find them again) that deal direct fire damage tend to out preform them ton for ton?

If you really wish, just say the word. I can go and repost all this information again, along with my own suggested fixes for LRMs (that don't even need to touch their travel speed). Missile speed is not the only factor that can be balanced with LRMs. I feel they sit about right at the moment for speed and damage, but indirect fire could use some adjustments as well as advanced target decay module.

Despite folks saying "just avoid them", I will buck the trend and say I agree with you. THey're far too fast now and they've really deminished the light and medium mech quality in the game. In times past a small, fast mech could outrun the missiles ... no more. A couple good salvos and a light is complete and utter trash heap.

I figure the LRM buff is to make up for all the whining about how powerful lights were. Damn if you do. Damn if you don't.

I'm in the just damned all around group.

Ban everybody who still whines 'bout LRMs. They are clearly too stupid to play this game.

I seriously doubt it as most players will only shoot LRM's at lights if there is no other bigger and slower target available.
I use all sizes of mechs and the faster i am the quicker i can get behind cover, but that's only if i messed up in the first place. I rarely get hit by missiles because i use cover.

Outrun the missiles? Or you could use your superior light/medium maneuvrability to simply get into cover. If you have any situational awareness LRM's are a non issue. Seriously just learn which parts of the map provide cover.

No metal robot should be able to outrun a MISSILE!

The balancing is not over till end of 2014 !

The next big thing is, that InnerSphere and Clan weapons have to be balanced together.

I also would say, that this is a major part of a BETA phase. But other people have other opinions.
