They've stated very clearly that getting headshotted by Artillery and Air Strikes is because the shells/bombs are actually dropping on your head. It will be really interesting to see if this is an issue in the upcoming clan mechs who's cockpits are almost completely covered ala. Warhawk, Adder, Direwolf

the clan mechs should be protected from artillery headshots. But they probably hit in the torso by every single LRM lol.

yeah... thats what i thought when i saw the clanmechs... terribad hitboxes... they all look as easy to hit as an awesome... except from any angle.
