I bought the Big Red Star, or maybe it was something else that I bought, entirely because of the sales pitch for the things that went with it, touting CW rewards for doing so:

I vaguely recall that maybe sometime since then, these geegaws were touted to actually do something, but nary a word since, and now they seem to have been swept under the rug.

It would be nice to know what they do (if anything,) or if they are just vaporware.

If vapor, I have a problem with that. So what's the deal, Lucille?

I do like that we know what the Clan items will do, while the Phoenix whatevers still do a whole lot of nothing.

And presumably, the Phoenix items won't do anything until well after the Clans are released, since at the earliest we'll see CW in Fall.

Was that for the Phoenix package? Did I not get what I paid for? My brain is having a very serious disconnect right now for some reason. For some odd reason, I want to read the EULA for that purchase now.

Anybody got a link or a screenshot?

I can hang them up in my Mech so I have them. Until loyalty points are in they are just decoration.

Basically the Phoenix Medallions are going to give you increased gains earning Loyalty.

Loyalty is a part of CW (which when they were pimping the Phoenix Packages was right around the corner).

Unfortunately they lied (yes, I'm baiting Heffay, BLOOD WOLF, Shar and whoever else).

So now the Clan Package items will be in the game and functioning well before the Phoenix Medallions are active due to requiring CW. And CW is going to be live at the EARLIEST in the fall.

I'd imagine it's more likely to be 2015.

Until Loyalty Points are implemented, they are currently vaporware.

These were part of the Pheonix Pack... Phoenix variant mechs get 15% "Loyalty Point Bonus" whereas the medallion got you like 5 or 7.5% or something like that.

So, good luck with that.

That is the info I'm looking for, where was that stated? Sorry my googles are not very good, just thought I'd ask before wading into the ancient history archives, thought one of you Wizards would have the link handy.

From Phoenix Pack FAQ said:

Loyalty Points
Q: What are Loyalty Points?
A: Loyalty Points are part of the upcoming Community Warfare expansion. Players will be able to work with and/or pledge allegiance to one of the major factions within the game's universe. Loyalty Points are earned by doing a variety of activities within the game. Players will have a pooled loyalty rank value per in-game faction. As the player performs specific actions they will earn loyalty points which are added or removed from these individual faction rank pools. Loyalty Point boosts increase the positive earning of points in these individual boosts. Earning a high level of rank with anyone one faction, earns the player access to specific faction content and economic benefits. Further details will be revealed with upcoming announcements on Community Warfare.
Q: Does the Phoenix Bronze Faction Medallion ‘Loyalty Boost’ of 2.5%, stack together with the 10% Loyalty Boost when using a Phoenix BattleMech?
A: Yes – giving a total of 12.5% Loyalty Boost per match when using a Phoenix BattleMech that is equipped with a Faction Medallion.

10% for Phoenix Mechs, 2.5% for Faction Medallions.

Thank you, that is very helpful. One last query:

On what date did the Phoenix package go on sale?

Thanks again.

The date is based on this link, as it could have been posted days or weeks earlier... give or take 1 week.

http://mwomercs.com/...phoenix-leaked/

June 25 2013... this is approximately 1 year before the future release of the Clan Pack.
