Black Knight Mech Comming?

Okay so I was watching Dev Vlog #4 and at the very ended while they're showing off the tracker tech I noticed the mech just to the left of the tester. its not a Trebuchy and its not a centurion, and it sure as hell isn't a quickdraw. I think its a Black Knight! If it is than...PGI TAKE MY MONEY KNOW!! but even so I thought Id put this out there and see what other people thought it might be.

Black Knight would be DOA, duh. No ballistics, no jump jets, giant HD/CT hitboxes.... It would get roflstomped by poptarting AC5's.

still it's iconic in some way

but i guess we won't see it until a clan buster package arrives

... I... don't see how you get a Black Knight out of that. Otherwise they've gone and butchered another design. :)

the MW4 custom Black Knight with jump jets would be a different story.

At least the majority of the mechs in this game have missile hardpoints. :)

Definitely a Treb, not that I'd say no to a Black Knight

I'd even Take an Exterminator (4 Med. Las, 1 Sm, AMS, Lrm 10, Heat Masking system (No thermal signature) and Ablative Armor (1/2 Energy weapon damage), Jump Jets and a 97 kph running speed), which was my favorite mech hunter in CBT.

If it were really a Black Knight, it would have been spewing insults at the Devs, saying that PGI would be closed in a week, and giving a handjob to every Star Citizen follower out there.

Black Knights won't work in MWO. Oh I guess you could fill them with MLAS. Think Orion-K, 4 energy slots in the arms, even one Ballistic and 2 Missile which the BK doesn't have, all BKs are Energy Boats. You could go 2xPPC, 2xLLAS, or 3xPPC and some small lasers. That's about all you could do with any BK variant in MWO right now.

Suggest Hammerhands 75ton, Bandersnatch 75ton, Zeus 80ton instead.

Darn and I was so excited but once you cleaned up the image and zoomed in your are deffinently right its a treb. now excuse me while I go into a corner and sob a little bit. lol

Oh and one more thing...why do they have to add in mech's that are only competitive in designe? I love the locust because its a Fun mech to pilot but many of you are only looking at mechs that can put down someone in two shots. wheres the Fun in that?

BK worked so well in MW4 because of jump jets. plus a heavy mech that can mount 4 ppcs was over kill!. 4 ppc's slamming into your ct shorting out your hud, was very destructive at 800 meters.

No, not at all. I just want PGI to take some responsibility to make Mechs like the Black Knight and AWS-8Q, AWS-9M, work without shutting down every volley. PGI is unable to balance Energy weapons as used in Battletech mechs into MWO. I should be able to take my AWS-9M, slap 3xERPPCs into it and fire them in a single salvo 5-9 times as per Battletech. That should not cause a shutdown or be over-powered, but in MWO it's both. But at the same time this level of damage from Ballistics is allowed and encouraged with insane recharge rates. It's just a balance issue PGI needs to address. Saying nothing would be a disservice to you all and the BK.
