Am I the only one who thinks the amount of arty/airstrikes used in the tournaments was ridiculous?

I like having them in-game but when i look at the amount of module slots in the tournaments used for these 2 items it makes me wonder... are arty/airstrike too good? or are the other modules too weak?

Read the rest of the forum. Hint: even the devs acknowledge they are broken. And they're the last ones to ever catch on to balance problems.

The fact that PGI took action is very telling. Keep in mind that those con$umables are a revenue stream and C-Bill dump, two vital functions for aPGI. So you knew it had to really bad for them to even offer a token nerf. note it isn't enough to keep players from buying 2 every match, or to actually change game play at all, but unlike other nerfs they are ù using a very gentle touch.

Everyone here is aware by now that this Tournament was designed to get metrics and look at balance issues right??? This was the easiest way to identify game issues without the bias of the forums.

Smart move PGI and bravo for starting to act on the metrics gathered!

Every tournament is a metrics gathering opportunity where the players put on their sunday best and leverage every option for a pat on the back. However this was the first one captured in perpetuity on twitch and youtube, showcase just how boring MWO can be.

Granted there were teams that went against the grain, but they got ground up in the meta orgy fairly quickly, pretty much showcasing what happens if you are not paying to win.
