as far as i know it fills the slot in the tree.
you can customize it as normal,
you get game credit, as well.

the additional cbill income will be worth it if you plan on playign more than a few hrs a week.

your paying to get them enough financial backbone to develop a good game. In addition you get free months of premium, more ingame money then you payed for.

AND a mech which is painted different and gets you more credits. So if thats not enough i dont know what is.
Its not like you want a Superlazor of doom no one else gets right ?

It has been confirmed that you will be able to customize the 'mech in the lab, like any other 'mech to suit your needs. Beyond that, though, you are correct in your assertion; you are paying for faster credit gain and "I was here first" rights.

In my experience playing WoT, the credit gain on "premium" vehicles pays for itself many times, although I am unsure whether MWO will have the same "you will lose credits while grinding exp in high tier vehicles" element that WoT has. In other words, there is no way for us to tell whether credits will actually be valuable, or if they will become superfluous in MWO. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that perhaps using LosTech or Clan 'mechs/tech (when they are released) will be MWO's major credit sink.

In my WoT experience the premium $ gained from these kinds of vehicles is worth it. It's good to have at least 1 prem.

I was just wondering if you get unique variant. WIth unusuall set up or something. ITs just a big vague when they say a custom mech. They could have sayd a mech with a custom paintjob and cbil booster etc. I know i like catapult and the jenner but im not a fan off the assault mech, so if im never going to run an atlas rather stalker etc whether its worth getting legendary over the elite. Having 1 mech to get more cash rest i might use other mechs.

A premium tank is a must have in WOT in order to move into the higher tiers of the game.

Well and you get the mech itself, which I get the impression would normally involve some significant grinding.

Got my Legendary, just waiting for the activation.. I hope we get to change some cosmetic features besides the paint job.

Decided to go for a new alias to make a name for myself with... rather than the name I am known by on other games.

Not quite, the newsletter that went out today stated that the Founder's mechs will be based around the "Prime" variants of that mech:
Atlas - AS7-D
Catapult - CPLT-C1
Hunchback - HBK-4G
Jenner - JR7-D

Assuming that the non-Founder's mechs run standard variant, the main difference will be in starting loadout, with these alternate weps already being in the game, just not standard on non-Founders mechs.

For example, standard Atlas has an LRM-20, and AC/20, 4 Medium lasers, and an SRM-6 launcher.
The AS7-D variant runs an Ultra AC/20, Swarm compatible LRM-20s, Streak SRM-6 launchers, with an extra ton of autocannon ammo. The only weps unchanged are the 4 Med lasers.

Of course, the loadout info can be found on their respective Sarna pages.

The argument for elite over legendary from 1 of my friends was that they will release more cool premium mechs later on and you can always buy a cbil booster for what is likely cheaper than 60$ extra that you are paying for 3 extra mechs you might not even drive.

That's actually good though.

Using the mechlab you'll be able to customize it however you like. You don't have to worry about it's configuration possibly being inferior to stock. With all your extra c-bills you'll be able to tool it out to the max.

It makes sense though. . . with only a limited number of mechs in the game to start. . . the devs wouldn't want to take time away to develop mechs used ONLY by the founders. The skin & earnings boost will be cool enough. I can use the mechlab to make it unstoppable. :D

the founder's pack is pretty awesome, but I don't see myself playing an assault mech or a light mech that often so I don't really want to pay for them.
