

What Will The Clan Mechs Actually Excell At?

missiles have ripple fire and reduced damage based on range. and AC'S instead of doing pin point dammage with a single round spread out their damage into multiple rounds making it very hard to focus on a spot.
over all alot of nerfs but what exactly do they excel at? range? not according to the LRM and AC nerfs they don't....
any one Shed some light?

2x LPLAS + 1x ER PPC + coolshot
2x LBX-5 (slug) + 2x ER PPC

I think they might have the edge in close combat...you know...on the rare occasion close combat happens in this game.
-Large streak launchers will be(even tho they will be ripple fired i guess?) nice
-Burst UAC's will be brutal at close range where getting all the shells on target won't be as difficult,and they will probably cause more screen shake than the slug rounds.
-You will probably be able to cram in more DHS since they are only 2 slots instead of three.
-Clan equipment weighs less and usually takes up less slots,of course,so you will be able to cram more in,in general
Ok,i'm really just grasping at straws and hoping they don't suck hard.

Yeah, really...seeing how all their guns fired faster, further, did more damage, better heat, smaller sizes....
Does PGI even know what they are doiing with the clans? I swear, they should refund everyone's money and come back in 6 months when they figure it out.
By the time these clans release clan mechs will be little more then laser light equipped toasters....cuz balance.
Kinda like what WWII games do to German tanks....they were great in WWII and RL, so lets over nerf em, slap em with all these made up weakpoints, over buff the ALlied stuff, make the Germans slow, big, useless, no armor and overall junk...cuz...balance....
