An older model I created this past summer while still in the very early stages of trying to learn 3dsMax. Will eventually go back to it and do an overhaul, but figured I would share!

Update: July 26, 2011 - Small update, changed geometry connecting the dish to Torso. Added bar/pipes for tie down straps/chains etc.

I was wondering when these juicy renders would be coming up. Always love the work PK.

It is a iconic battlemech for me, but due to this particular model being one of my first models it could use an overhaul and some love. The renders themselves were horrible, haha I still have not mastered lighting! But thank you so much for the kind words!!

Ah if I only could spend all day working on modeling, but oh how real life gets in the way of that dream!! I am looking forward to going back and spending some time on it. To me the Rifleman is up there in the iconic aspect compared to the Timber Wolf.

Nice work on the model Phelan. What are the specs of that model (ie Tris/Verts)?

LoL, Ah yes...the beloved and hated mech that people are for or against :D I had fun piloting one in MPBT 3025 back in the day. Loved the good ole Urby AC ambush ;)

I'm away on holiday, I'll get details for you when I return. But that low poly geometry is only around 4k, I optimized it very well.

Now that warms the heart of an old TT'er. Twenty Mechs on the board and you always knew where this guy was at. Can't count the number of times he has rung my bell.
Once again, Outstanding work P!

Real life has me swamped, I have not been able to work on other projects, let alone this model. One day though, one day..

After I update the Stinger, I will give this mech a little love. Things I'll focus on in particular is the hip, ankle and pelvis joints to give all correct mechanical function, ie the ability to animate the models realistically.
