Ok, here is why the title 'hero quirks'. Right now, most Hero Mechs gets the same quirks as non-heros with maybe somewhat stronger quirks.

My suggestion? Like real heros, they may tend to have one ability in particular...give them an quirk that sets them apart aside from +30% cbill bonus.

I like the idea of hero quirks, but what you suggest is faaar beyond something they will ever consider...
What about like this:

- PPC anti-ECM effect +Xsec
- Spead tweak bonus +X%
- heat transfer of flamers +X%
- target aquisition time +X%
- ...
-...
-...
everything within reasonable values...

this would not be too serious to be p2w but would make enough difference to make heros HEROS.

I wouldn't be very surprised if they did do something like this. Another game I used to play had very small quirks on builds for the first of the games life, then came the insanely overpowered builds that made people quit (except for the dedicated players who have money), I've seen this happen in many games. I've changed the poll to match closer what has or does exist already.

The key idea is that the hero quirk will be the hero mechs one powerful quirk, vs. many small ones that exist now. The game is getting too predictable as there are still no new weapons, if they are never going to do the weapons, they could do this to provide a similar effect. Besides, none of the hero mechs except pirates bane even seem interesting to me, because until the hero 'tempest' came out, pirates bane had the one thing the other heros lack, ECM, in other words, an unique ability.
