Fyi: Stalker Dash "shelves" Missing...mysterious Floating Fan!

Just an FYI.
The mesh shelves in the cockpit are missing now. Tried the repair tool, no luck, tried a clean reinstall, no luck.
Oddly, those on observe say they see it as normal.
Fortunately the fan still works for that nice oscillating cooling action.

It was an authorized Field Modification (FMOD) from the manufacturer (Triad Technologies).

Ah, saving weight. No wonder it felt .00001 faster after that!
Going back in screenshots and videos, I see that back on 5/12 it was still normal. I noticed after the last patch, no idea what could have caused this that wouldn't be fixed by a clean install.

Seems to be connected to the cockpit glass being turned off.
Removed the user.cfg file completely, it was back.
Put the file back as it was, shelf was gone again.
Turned the glass back on (1) and shelf was back.
Turned glass off again and it's gone.

Guess I'll just have a slightly lighter Stalker, I like the clear glass more. :D

I'm having the same problem. No shelves on my desktop. Ran the repair tool, but still no shelves.

I have the game installed on my work laptop for business trips, so just tried it on my laptop. Shelves are there on my laptop.

Found your post while searching to see if anyone had a solution. I think you're right about the cockpit glass link.

No cockpit glass on desktop, cockpit glass on the laptop.

Just added the user.cfg setting to turn cockpit glass off on the laptop, and no shelves. Turned cockpit glass back on on the laptop, and shelves are back. Definitely appears to be tided to the cockpit glass.
