I did a quick run in the testing grounds and all i can find is my torso twist is a bit dodgy and the 'free look' button has stopped working. I hope there isn't an issue with a throttle + peddles setup, that would be a massive shame.

If it is on, make sure you allowed it access thru windows firewall.
If all else fails, reinstall trackir.

if you dont want to buy the software/hardware then just look up the free tracking software and then buy some pens, IR bulbs and some wire to make yourself what my friends call thier "ghettoIR"
edit... forgot to add a webcam too. otherwise it wont work.

Currently, only genuine TrackIR units are reported to work. Games specifically need to support non-official solutions - ie hack out the encryption check in the TrackIR API, support an open protocol such as FreeTrack, or allow head tracker control via joystick axes.
MWO does none of these, so only units sold by NaturalPoint will work.

Also I found some problems with the reticle getting stuck when using zoom and trackIR together. Anyone else have this problem?

Depends heavily on the mech. As long as it has half decent side vision, it does make a massive difference.
SA is notably improved.
Brawling is easier as you can keep sight of the enemy whilst twisted away from him. Yes, you can do this without TrackIR but it is not as easy and it is not possible to uncouple arm movement from the view - meaning your arms are not acting properly as shields.
It is possible to get views out of mechs that it is impossible to get without TrackIR.

yes, your right... im just saying that its not something that you have to have to still be competitive.
The view link shows exactly how i got my reticle stuck. As you move your head up the reticle adjusts upwards then if i zoom in and then out it gets stuck in the higher position.
