Wow. Um. Did you just discover the wonderful world of text editing, or something? Ease off the sugar.
They're working fine. Perhaps its you, man.

Excuse me sir, but this is the patch feedback section of the forum, not child daycare. If you have feedback, deliver it in an informative and level headed manner. Please go read the bug reporting guide.
Also, if PGI was 100% incompetent, we would 100% not have a game that works in any way.

And confirmed, just logged out and logged back in and except for the mech I was sitting in ALL the other mech weapon groups I had re-saved are gone again.
Great job PGI on breaking something that was working fine before today's patch. You can all go home and not care about your customers and fix this in 90 days (As usual)

You probably own 4-10 mechs and feel this is only a small thing. For me this is going to be 8 hours a day for several days of work to get my groupings back. Oh Yes SAVE doesn't work. Regroup weapons EVERY Fraggin Match til PGI decides to Stop Breaking Stuff That Was Working Fine. But you are right I should be HAPPY to get harassed like this.

I have 65 mechs and it's been happening for a while, died more then once wondering why nothing was firing on group 2!

I had a problem one time way back in closed beta with weapon groups not being saved on one of my mechs. Haven't seen it since then.

potentially not new with this patch.
I stopped playing my Commando because of the SRM issues and the fact its weapon groups were 'tied' to my Stalker. Whenever I play the Commando it reset the weapon groups of the Stalker and vice versa.
I do not know if the pairings were universally shared. The nature of the error suggested it should be everyone but the cases all seemed specific. Purely for an example, maybe someone else could see if their COM-2D and STK-3F are wiping each others weapon groups.
I can only imagine how annoying this is at a larger scale. The more mechs you own, the more likely you are to have two which the game gets mixed signals about.
Deleting the weapon groups files was often suggested and was also completely futile. The bugged reference was not a 'corruption' but was present in the file the moment it was generated/downloaded.
Time to blow off the dust and see if it's still occurring.
Support already had my logs for the issue, if it is in fact related.
EDIT:
Confirmed, this bug is still present.
Even without leaving Mechlab, 'saving' one weapon grouping erases the other. COM-2D and STK-3F still override each other in my case.
It would be nice to know if anyone can get the same results.

it happens
it's not new to this patch
yes it's annoying, but I don't really think 5-6 seconds of rebinding at the start of a match is worth this level of whine
