SRM fix, JJ heat changes, leg damage changes, possible 5+ man groups, M/M fixes...

I went to a BBQ and come back to read all this stuff, and got very excited. Everything sounds well thought out and seems good on paper. We'll see come the 17th but I have a good feeling.

I for one would like to show some appreciation for the guys working on that stuff. It is clear some wheels have been turning and that deserves some kudos.

So kudos to the people behind the scenes, I hope all these things go smoothly as possible for you and us!

edit: I have to add, I was worried about what they might do to JJ's in the name of nerfing poptarts. After reading the proposed changes, I can rest easy. And so can my Quickdraws ;)

I've been saying this for a long time. Once PGI finally starts communicating with their customers, their customers will notice and appreciate it. The big companies have already done it, now is time for the 'little' guys to follow suit.

Personally, I am enjoying this new side of PGI. Shows they are actually learning and trying to move forward, instead of what we used to have.

Let's test out the changes on the 17th before we pop the cork.

Meh...about time for a lot of that but going to hold of and see if they are capable of fixing the bigger issues before pouring anything back into this game.

Hey I agree. But at least things are in motion. It is nice to see progress being made

I view what they did with JJs to be a 'fix' rather than a nerf. It won't affect poptarts at all; poptarts don't carry enough JJs to care. However, the fall damage thing may have some effect on mechs that don't use JJs to soften their landing.

Given what Karl said about a TT-influenced approach, I doubt we've seen what he was talking about yet. Just a fix to an issue with how they originally planned to do the JJs.

Ah yes. I was kinda lumping the fall-damage and the JJ fix together in one, uh, lump. Wasn't clear on that, sorry.

I am interested to see what else they have in store though!

That JJ stuff is just a slight bandaid, without actually adding anything significant like improved directional/horizontal maneuvering. I'm not holding my breath until JJ's act as they should like a Jenner with 5 JJ's can actually jump 150m, instead of 25.11m. The main functionality they gave JJ's, as far as I'm concerned, is poptarting, instead of evasion/advanced maneuvering.

Shar, how can you not be excited for the Summoner. Yeah, the forums have it pegged for a wet ****, but I'm still hopeful.

Obviously that PS4 I just bought Paul in exchange for some shiny is going to good use. I'm not sure how that works either, maybe he's distracted by the PS4 and some random intern is doing the balancing now?

I kid. Or do i?

Yep! It's great to see them finally addressing many of the issues. I'm very pleased with them right now, but I'll have to see it in-game!

Never really cared for the Summoner actually. ^_^

Only version of it I liked was one from the horrible DA TT game

Summoner is meh. Adder is where it's at. It's even got a cool name, like you're adding damage, kills and assists to your score.
Shut up I know it refers to a snake.

I'd also love it if they made JJs more like they were in TT/Canon, but I'm not holding my breath. That'd be a pretty big change, after all.
