I have heard that PGI only brings up test for short times. With that said, and considering the fact that it is 4 Jun, has anyone heard of the Clan mechs either being on or going to be on the test server? Has anyone, beyond the devs, had an opportunity to play the clan mechs?

Sorry if this has all been covered before.

Doubtful, they have not announced a public test of the Clans. They probably will not because inevitably there will be criticism and negative feedback so they probably want to keep that to a minimum (especially if it is legit) in order to sell as many clan packs as possible.

They have low confidence in their own product then? lol.

That also makes little sense, since other folks have posted that the Devs (do not have the source) stated that clan packs will still be available for purchase after 17 Jun when they release. If that is true and we cannot test before 17 Jun, why not just wait on purchases until after they release and we get a look at what we are actually buying. Since that method makes sense, you would think folks would wait (maybe not). Why not just show us the product now so we can help fix it? Is PGI really that bad?

I would expect an external test with clan chasis to be at the same level as the pheonix mechs

They are probably not doing a public test since, it seems they don't do many of those anyways especially with a preorder product no try before you buy.

Actually a successful public test to see how everything works...if I could do that right now I'd spend the 240 rather than sit here and wait for details before upgrading.

I think they should just let the Ghost Bears play with what they have now.

Shouldn't they... You know, actually test them then?

Getting a test drive is just a bonus for finding the massive amount of things that no doubt require anything from a half hour hotfix to a twelve hour maintenance and redownload of every single asset related to whatever is broken, BEFORE they ruin the live servers for weeks. There's also bound to be a TON of balance issues that a proper test server could (mostly) fix or at least make less OP/worthless.

There's just one problem with that: It makes sense.

Yeah, making sense, one thing almost all modern day games and companies do not do......

They all serve to convolute and confuse everything in the name of making the all mighty buck....or yen, shekel, rubel, deustchmark...w/e.....yeah I spelled half those wrong....
