If you go to the streets and make a pool, sure, all of them will find the new logos better. The new logos are cute and detailed. But these are people who know $#!T about Battletech and Mechwarrior.
Some of us started playing this game more than 20 years ago. It's not nostalgia, it's HISTORY.

So far the vocal few seem to be the 24 people who like the logo art...

I am willing to bet that I am younger than you, and I hate the new CGB logo. Perhaps if you could prove to me that this mystical majority of "people less invested in the dust of the past" exists, I would drop it, but as it stands...well, the poll speaks for itself.

I don't mind them stylizing the emblems to revamp and improve them. However, there is a difference between working off a base, and completely going your own way.
This reminds me of when I was in college, working on getting my Graphic Design degree. In one of the classes, we were to design a magazine. To do so, we set up a graphic standard. A graphic standard is a set of designing "rules" we are all suppose to be using so we all design "on the same page" or in the same style to being a uniform look to the publication. Everything was going great... until one student went off and did his own thing. He completely disregarded the graphic standard the rest of us was following (and none of his files would open properly anyway for the end project). This caused his work to disrupt the entire magazine look, and detracted from the overall look and feel of the magazine as a whole.
Now, I'd like to mention, he some really amazing looking stuff. His designs were just jaw dropping amazing. However, despite his talent and skills in designing, I (who was the paginator/proof reader in charge of making sure everything was up to the standards we set up in the Graphic Standard) had to continually tell the person that his designs did not work for the magazine and needed to be redesigned again to match the graphic standards. (He refused, and his work in the end couldn't/didn't get into the class project.)
Basically, no matter how good the "new" emblems are (which they are nice, but also hard to see when it is small (which should have also been considered in it's design)), if they don't match the graphic standards from previous examples (old emblems and new house emblems designs primarily) then they need to be revisited and corrected. (And don't get me wrong. The new emblems are very nice looking, but they don't match what I would have considered to be the graphic standard for this game in general, nor for BT as a whole.) The old clan emblems should see a similar treatment in their revision as the IS versions did. I don't mind changes, but keep them minor. The basic "true" emblems should still be easily visible. (Ex: Clan Wolf's wolf is very stylized. I would like to see that stylized effect maintained. The more "realistic" and "rabid" looking wolf is not fitting to this common stylization that was seen before.)

They're not literally {Godwin's Law}.
2&3)
Jade Falcon is a pretty significant improvement, only to be hamstrung by lighting and flag waviness.
Smoke Jag and Wolf should be closer to originals. Jag in particular looks poor and wolf just had a fantastic logo in the first place.
Ghost Bear's just needs to get redone. It's easily recognizable as CGB, but it's just poorly executed. I suspect there is an artistic failing on a technical level with the proportions and/or perspective on the bear's face. Also: Use anti-aliasing!
Overall, There are a lot of questionably useful details in the new logos that only really improve the previously excessively undefined Falcon in CJF's logo.

The current clan symbols are to stylized. They do not fit the mind set of a nation, or cultures icon. They are to highly stylized. To be honest they really look like what an in universe Draconis Combine anime would come up with for an anime show set during the invasion. They could also pass as an individual unit's stylized symbol at the company or battalion level.
I hope PGI considers reworking the artwork.

The fans of the Clans Faction are just wanting the same treatment the Inner Sphere House logos got when PGI launched MWO and allowed us to pick a faction. This is what I have gathered from reading the threads, and I am also biased as it is my thought as well.
Please PGI, take my suggestion to heart. I, and many of the Clan players have purchased Clan packs, with a large portion buying the Warhawk packs. We may not be the Target audience of the game, but will a 100% new player to MWO & MW/BT know the difference between a logo? Keep your loyal fanbase happy.
I will be honest. I will not be happy piloting my Clan Chassis and seeing this ugly logo. I will not feel I am representing Clan Ghost Bear, but Clan sneezing bear, or drunk bear, or neckbeard cat bear..
Thanks for listening PGI.

We have spoken, Russ has listened and they are giving the designs a 'mild refresh' vs a 'hard reworking'. They will then let us vote.
I look forward to their refresh and flying a ghost bear banner I am proud to wear!

No pupils.
The current proportions seem off for a large cat even in the 3/4 view. One criticism from a non-BT fan was the lack of detail in the original art, and I believe the re-do managed to have even less detail at higher fidelity.
the back ground element is too large to be relevant in the new image. It needs to be downsized to be more understandable.

I for one do NOT want a carbon copy of some thirteen year old's wet dream from 1992...which is all that I have seen so far.
New and original please.
