As i wont be able to play for a week or so, just wanted to find out if the new weapons changes were good or bad?

From what it sounds like the Ac nerf may hurt brawlers, but I guess we will have to see what you guys say.

edit: grammar

It won't change anything for brawlers.

Why would it hurt brawlers? I don't think they were firing their AC20s at 541m anyways.

I saw a couple comments about the AC nerf making it hard to return fire against snipers... So thats why I created this thread to find out from you guys whats really going on.

Not to be Grammar Polizei, but its "Were", not "Where". When you say "Where The Weapons Changes Good Or Bust" it makes it sound like a tag line to a really bad 70's sitcom.

If anything it will let us get closer easier to bring the pain. I will say though, there was some great satisfaction to be had in arcing an AC20 shell out over a ridge into a running mech, and watching it cartwheel off

AC2 makes for great fire suppression

If I have to, I try to return fire with LL. 2 tons of AC/20 ammo only goes so far.

An AC/20 fired at 521M did more damage than an AC/10 fired at 521M before the change. The nerf was needed about 3 years ago.

At that range you aren't really brawling.

Aside from the AC, hwo are the SRMs, Pulse lasers, etc?

Did they squeeze the Jump Jet Heat in?

Until the Brian Buckton fix, SRMs will remain hopeless.

Why not wait longer than the 30 minutes the new patch has been live before you ask things like this?

I don't forsee it making much differance. The "Meta Warriors" don't fight much beyond 500m.

Aye but at that range it was doing the job of an ac10 except with half the ammo per ton a slower more arching projectile and a much slower fire rate.

Was anyone really complaining about ac20 users burning all of their ammo on that before getting into it's truly lethal range?

I know I carry a ton more than I need for BS plinking shots like that on my 4G but the bulk gets held back to 350 meters or less.

OKAY, OP, something more quantitative...

Per this thread:

http://mwomercs.com/...__fromsearch__1
What used to take 12 salvos to kill the Atlas... now takes only 11. So that is only an 8.3% improvement. Hardly impressive. Hardly useful. Hardly worth a patch.

I've been using SRMs just fine with my medium pulses. 500+ each match.

Please, any decent player will know exactly how these changes affect the game within 5 minutes of the servers going up :P

Against endless waves of PPC+AC snipers and Gauss boats?

They don't work too well against a team full of 8+ of those.
