So, we're suppose to get word this week on what the targeting computer and command console are going to do. Did I miss a tweet or reddit post? Or have they not released the info yet?

The way it is described on the wiki, I can not imagine what it could do that would be worth 4-5 tons on the Warhawk and 3 tons on the Adder. Fortunately, it is removable on the Adder and I believe it is removable on the Warhawk.

Nope, hardwired and not removable on the Warhawk.

I've seen wiki entries, TROs, and programs designed to assist with building your mech for table top say it is not.

I've seen one line of fluff that suggests it is.

Looks like info might be inbound. From Russ's tweet feed "All three designers and I are preparing update posts for the forums, ETA before end of day on all of them."

Great. Now lets see what kind of last minute scrambled egg Russ has cooked up.

I'm sure all of them will be subject to change. :P

What if it can lock onto 3 mechs cockpits simultaneously and fire 3UAC20s at them? 3 mechs dead in 2 cycles of a UAC! Can you imagine THAT!? 'MERICA!

Warhawk can have a max of 2 ballistic hard points with the variants we are getting and the burst fire may muck things up, but it is a nice thought lol

lol, well aiming for the player is about the only thing I can think of that would even come close to justifying the weight/crits. I really doubt that would happen, though.

I don't believe anything unless it's in-game. See 2012 to 2014.

Well, the 3050 TRO states that the basic computing boards are built onto the base chassis, but then goes on to skip it in the list of fixed equipment. It could be taken either way, though I would go with the list and say it is not fixed.

Some OmniMechs, as determined by Design, have specific weapons or other pieces of equipment (such as jump jets) as part of their base configuration.

So its not entirely 100% sure, but I would clearly say the targeting Computer is a "specific piece of equipment"
