I mean Kilo if you aren't even willing to accept my friend request to consider it what does that say about your vaunted play ability?

In my short but fun time here. I have to say that missile systems don't need a nerf or a buff. As is, too many players use these weapon systems in a single match making one side missile heavy, and the other missile void. It's either raining on them or pouring on me and this is the issue. The current matchmaking system from what I have seen does not take into account how mechs are carrying any one particular weapon system. There in lies the dilemma. If the current matchmaker would limit the amounts of mechs carrying Long Range Missile Systems, games would be far better off. So instead of having three assault mechs loaded for bear with 1600+ missiles, you'll have one. Instead of having five mechs carrying nothing but auto cannons of any caliber, you'll only have a few. This is where the fix should come from and would force diversity on top of players who are too afraid to scratch their digital paint schemes. In my 50 games. I've only had the pleasure of experiencing six brawling games which turned out to be really close, really fun and even though I lost some? Were still damned good games that pitted pure skill against skill, not just who had the biggest stick.

Again, my time here has been short but I do not lack powers of simple observation. This game is broken in many ways. But nerf batting weapon systems is not the solution. Limiting the amount of mechs that can CARRY these weapon systems is a far better off method. Just my humble opinion and I welcome feedback.

That is possibly one of the worst suggestions i have heard.

First off, you are the one who started this thread to complain. Everyone just told you why you are wrong.

Second, I don't trash talk, or think I'm some sort of uber player in some 1337 clan. So anything you've inferred from my comments like that is completely made up in your mind.

c.) Sure I'll accept your friend request...when I get home and log on to my computer that has mechwarrior installed on it. If you see me posting it's because I'm not playing, and I'm probably at work.

lastly, only a fool would rely on LRMs in a 1 vs 1.

I never said limit the amount of weapons a mech could carry. I said limit the amount of mechs that can carry certain weapon systems. Boat whatever you like, but there should not be five LRM boats on one side and none on the other. That causes imbalance and that is what's wrong with the game. Learn to read please.

define what would qualify as an LRM boat.

The number of launchers? a certain number of tons of ammo? what exactly?

Bring what you want to run. I don't use LRMs for a reason.

Massed used of LRM Launchers on a signle Mech. LRMs aore omnipresent on Stalkers, raining down 40 + Missiles, especially when using LRM5s exclusivly. MWO is back being LRM Warrior after the AC nerf.

Getting in brawlning range is impossible because of the massiv LRM spam.

And i never said anything about the amount of weapons on a mech. I said the amount "in a match". I could say "Learn to read please" too but i'm not a child.
But you're right, it does cause imbalance. If a team has a lot of LRM boats they are screwed, except in the lowest ELO range.

Example. A Stalker carrying 5xLRM15 and 5xmedlaser. An Atlas D-DC cloaked under ECM suite carrying 3xLRM15. Or a Stalker carrying 5xLRM5. Why not SSRM2? Why not SRM6?

I know what an LRM boat is. I'm asking you to define it to the point it could be included in he match maker.

Would a single LRM 20 and one ton of ammo be an LRM boat? How about a C1 with 2 LRM15s and 12 tons of ammo?

The latter. One weapon system a boat does not make. :P

But. I also know that the C1 is a missile platform. An exception could be made to allowing ONE pure missile platform mech loaded for bear with 12 or even 20 tons of ammo. Again, one on each side, that is balance.

ok. so a mech with 2x LRM10s is a missle boat but a mech with 1 LRM20 isn't?
