So, Is Nothing Going To Be Done About These Meta Threads?

Why hasn't anything been done to fix the serious balance issues within these forums?
Meta threads are so overpowered in their abundance and page numbers that all other threads are becoming non-viable to create, resulting in a very stale forum experience that is not enjoyable.
Other issues are such underperformers when compared to the meta threads that less and less people are creating them every day.
I mean, if the intention is to win the views, why would somebody create a thread about hit detection when they could easily create a meta thread and instantly have 15+ pages?
Every day is becoming the same. Gone now is the variety of complaints, and every time I login all I see is 6-7 meta threads being created every day. It's really getting old, and it's eventually going to drive away all the new players. Poor pugs are just asking a question about the mechlab and getting immediately blasted by 4-5 popup meta threads that instant drive theirs to page 2 (and we all know NOBODY pays attention to page 2!)
It needs to be nerfed right now! PGI, please implement a max. number of meta rage threads for each page, or perhaps some form of anti-rage timer that doesn't let somebody complain about the meta for a couple hours and they're calmed down a bit.
If this issue doesn't get fixed, I'm gone...to another subforum. Perhaps I'll start posting threads about the upcoming clan invasion in the clan forums, or some ponies for the pony thread? At least I know my posts will be read and cherished, unlike this forum (bunch of typehard jerks that only care about the meta issues).

Yet another thread in an unending series of threads complaining about the amount of threads meta complaints have.
This is the perfect example of pot calling the kettle black.
I denounce all such posts, including this post I just typed!

A changing meta is a sign of a healthy game. If this game were any good, we'd be having threads about how mpl spiders are the truth.

Well...it kinda does.
PPCs to PPCs and Gauss, to PPCs and ACs.
But PP FLD...PP FLD never changes.
LOL...PPC + Gauss never went anywhere...it is still there...you just do not have the want-to-be-meta-cause-they-think-it-is-cool-noobs running it any more. My HGN-732 still runs Gauss + 3xPPC and you should see the crocodile tears that follow in it's wake.

Seeing as most pugs can't handle the gauss, it's safe to say the meta has moved on. That doesn't mean it's any less effective.
I'm well aware how effective a 45 PP FLD alpha can be.

Just because your mech got blowed up doesn't mean it was a bad thing.
If you weren't moving laterally when you got blowed up it was a good thing!
If your team was in three places on the map when you got blowed up it was a good thing too.
See, I don't play the meta and I beat the metas pretty easily if my team holds together. My mech is a mixed range loadout with all ranges being mild-moderate strength. It should never win according to the meta-mythologies, but I can be the top player with it sometimes.
So balance is pretty good right now. Everything seems very competitive. It's hard to win. It would be easy for me to point my finger at the players who beat me and call OP!, OP! But I would rather just go beat them with some weird config and strategy.
