..snip..

Hmm more strange, if your CO discusses something with me and I name him a solution, why is there still a post here in the mwomercs.com forum instread of the ISW one?

But I will gladly tell you the same here as I told Nari:
If you make deals for a match evening with an opponent, do so in the matchmaking forum on ISW. If you want to be sure to have 3 4 5 or what ever number of matches that evening, include this in matchmaking forum.
If your opponent agrees, he will have to do the nr. of matches you made a deal to play.

All administrative decisions are made on posts in matchmaking forum. So if there is nothing written.... no administrative action can be taken.

first of all, i have to say that i am highly amused about how my post rustled your jimmies without me naming any unit in particular

now to anwer your question:

first and foremost,
i am nothing more but a Mechwarrior and do not have to know about CO stuff. - like, for example the matchmaking forum.
all i need to know is whom to point the business end of my Dire Wolf's weapon arrays at.

secondly,
this post was done right after yesterdays fight, without talking to our Scol first.
because - as i stated - it's my opinion.

why here?
why not, i have the right to state my opinion whenever and whereever the hell i want.

and since your jimmies have already been rustled, i'd say "in for a penny, in for a dime!"

so you're telling me NONE of the fight days 140th vs. YOUR (the leagues creator) unit were agreed on the number of fights in YOUR forum?
I'd call that bad organisation, but regarding the situations in which your unit bailed out,i call it Banthapoodoo.
you just don't like getting your butts handed to you.

i hereby state again - this post does in no way represent the opinion of my unit!!!
well - maybe it does, but i do not have the authority to speak for anyone but MYSELF.

Umm really? This was about the 331st RBMD? Strange... there where only 2 fights pending at all in the pending fights list and those we did... on the 14th, last Thursday, while your post is from the 17th.
So I suppose, you don't mean the 331st RBMD at all.

In any case, your complain would have been served best with a PM to me or a ISW-forum post-> directly after the fight.

While I am only a Mechwarrior in the 331st myself and not included in long term decisions of the unit, I understand your complain all too well.

Still, I would like to suggest to eat the potatoes where they are cooked, which in this case is the ISW.

well, you are partially right, because the trigger event for my post was not related to the 331st, that's why i did not include unit names in my first post.

but since yesterdays bailout of our opponent merely was the "drop onto the hot stone", (if i may use that translated form of a german saying), the 331st.RBMD did (from my perspective) bail out of fights SEVERAL times, and because i perceive your "...snip..." instead of using an ACTUAL quote from my post as an offense, i thought i might as well state my full, uncensored (and thus, maybe a little offensive) opinion about this topic.

and lastly: no, the topic would not have been served via a pm to you, because my first post did not contain any unit names except that of the 140th strikers and was merely meant as kind of a callout to everyone to better organize their fightdays because i thought i might not be the only one who does not like to turn up to a fight day, spend 45+ minutes in lobby till everything is organised, fight 5 minutes, and then be told "the remaining fights we thought would be today have been postponed".

well, my apologies for being rudely honest in case your ...snip.. was not meant offensive, i will direct any further complains to the ISW forums/the PM system.
but that does not change my opinion, neither regarding the topic itself nor the location of my first post.

Hehe, no i sniped your quote because it was long and I just wanted to make sure everyone sees the relation to your post.

About the "we leave and fight an other day" topic, you are right to some extend. If the number of drops is included in the matchmaking, the opponent is bound to do them.

As for the Lobby waiting times you are absolutely right. Those have to be shorter ( and the 331 really sucked on this for a few times, yes)

To get units to organise more in advance, there are some rule changes incoming, the most important one being a 15 minutes maximum time frame from agreed drop time to launch button press. And a 10 minutes maximum between drops.

The whole point I took offence in was you posting here without me knowing about the topic at hand in the first place. It felt like "Hey, why the **** didnt they come to me in the first place?"
