Enjoyed my little Kit Fox Prime for the most part. My only complaint so far is pretty minor: I wish the appearance of the 'mech was a little more classic and 'squat' rather than squeezed up into a thinner, more humanoid shape.

Mechanically I like the 'mech so far, but I need to play around with it more.

I have to say I was positively surprised by the Kitfox C right arm pod added into the game. It will be really great for the viability of this mech.

Overall the mech is not too bad. Of course it suffers from low speed, but heck I can have UAC20 on it with decent armor!

I haven't really messed with the Sierra variant of the Kit Fox at all, however if you need a light missile support, the Delta as standard is quite competent and serves as a good compliment to other missile support thanks to its own Narc missile beacon.

The Prime version as it comes isn't really anything special, but I feel like its worth is amplified if you swap out the Charlie variant's right arm and the Sierra variant's legs (or even just one if you only want two jump jets) and slap on that 3 AMS and 1 ECM.

I like the ability to use a big gun on this little ******.
Gauss +2t and 2ERML like you would do on a medium mech

Oh, yeah the new ECM/AMS arm is awesome!
The Kitfox with ECM, AMS and ERPPC makes for a nice little spider brother :(

Thank you for the ECM arm, already found my perfect "hero" build for my prime and of course it is all non prime parts... ;)

Awaiting for the lrm range patch otherwise it is great, I drive 99kph ravens all the time so I have zero problems adapting to the kitfox.

Just gotta remember its a 30ton mech, first match pre armor tweaking I was squishy.

Happy 30 bucks spent

I shall have to try that, but I hate jamming weapons

Combine with AMS Overload and you are practically driving an umbrella.

Plus AMS range 2 and (for 3rd slot) Adv. zoom to actually see something to hit with the ERPPC ;)
Just needs some lrms to fly by and vanish.

Lovely little mech. Was initially concerned about speed compared to superfast IS lights but was pleasantly surprised. It can take a pounding and the benefits of the Clan XL allow it to survive at slower speeds.

I shall be unlocking or attempting to unlock these 2 modules as soon as the patch goes live. Depending on money left, but seriously 3ams with those 2 modules should be amazing, master the mech for a 3rd module slot for seismic and you are set.

ON TOPIC

Nikko I know it has 3 AMS but they seem way to big in proportion to the rest of the mech, especially when comparing the size of the ams to my firestarter and locust, they need to be slightly smaller

haven't tested it but had a short visit in testign ground:

the front window panorama view is just epic!

and the AMS loadout? wow time for a "you shall not pass" meme of a kit fox standing in front of a LRM boating catapult.
if people do not care about their personal score, this is the perfect anti Missile support light mech for the clanners.

Haven't been able to play mine yet...but oof are they slow. My ember runs circles.

It's really going to require a different style of play to play Clan lights.

Now having played mine, it's really tough to say I like the idea of them matching a Kit Fox to an Ember or something, ugh.

3 AMS looks ... silly.
A better AMS nub layout would be nice.

That's about it.

So good job beyond the superfluous nipple AMS thing.

Great little mech. Had a blast playing it. Would I like to get more speed out of it?

Well ya! But since all the clan lights seem to pack a heck of a punch, I'd say the speed loss is a fair trade off.

And omni pod swapping means endless possibilities in the lab. We could not even come close to trying out all the possible combos on even one chassis, never mind all the clan mechs I have. (All except Warhawk)

Great little mech. I imagine the people insisting it was DoA will be crying about how OP it is come the 17th. The ECM and triple AMS is a nice addition to omnipods.

I love my Kit Foxes. They are exactly the light mechs I have been trying to play as. Oodles of firepower, decent armor, juuuuust quick enough to get out of a fight in a hurry (unless it's a Timber Wolf you ran into, in which case, sorry about your luck). Everything just feels...right. Playing it has convinced me to upgrade my pre order tomorrow. I NEED MORE CLAN MECHS.

Having gotten to play for a few hours today, I must say I really enjoy the Uller and what it has to offer. Yes, to me it is an Uller . . . I love piloting my wonderful clan salvage.

I think the Uller, functioning as a screening mech in a pack of heavier forces, functions exceptionally well in its role. It is also, as mentioned above, just fast enough to get away from some of the heavier threats out there.

It also packs some amazing amounts of firepower into a very tiny package. I believe this mech, along with the Puma, will possibly set a new trend of slowing down lights and encouraging them to carry more firepower into the fray. Multiple times I ran into Ravens and Firestarters and they were forced to run away because of the sheer firepower and armor I brought to bare. They couldn't bring me down fast enough before reinforcements arrived. In one or two cases they ended up legged courtesy of that heavy firepower.

Extremely pleased with the mech, and I think it sets a trend we should be seeing more often. The speed gradient in MWO should be more drastic, and mechs like the Uller and Puma should be about the peak speed for most mechs in their weight class . . . which was even the case in BT lore. Only mechs like the Locust and Spider should be sacrificing firepower for those super-speeds (of course a Dasher, too, once we get MASC and higher speed caps) . . . again, just like lore. The mech proved today just how viable more lore based mechs and speed gradients can be.

I feel like both the Adder and this mech are too large.

There is a severe amount of bulk and even height on this mech compared to mechs like the Jenner.

I know the physical size of the mechs might be a balance concern for all Clan mechs, but I feel given the fixed slow speed of these guys, they should really be considered to be around the same size of the IS designs. If anything to make them slightly smaller targets given their already slow speed.

I know that the Clan XL's make them a bit more survivable to torso hits, but those spiffy XL's don't stop you from getting your legs cut out from under you. Especially given the reduced speed and large size of the mech's making it easy to clip them off.
