I was having some technical issues so I decided to do as the title of this thread says (uninstalled the game and reinstalled). Looking at the screenshots folder (Programs files>Piranha Games> Mechwarrior Online > USER > Screenshots, I see that all my old screenshots are gone.
So, are they gone for good? I probably should have backed up the ones I wanted so I understand that it's my fault if they are (not too mad about it). Just wondering if they may have ended up somewhere else.
Thanks guys

Unless you installed to a different directory and left the old one around, then no, no screenshots for you.

I might have to configure my automatic backup to snag that folder

Maybe they can address this in a patch......
I lost all my shots from the past 2 years when I reinstalled to try to fix my crashing to the desktop problem.
Really ******* sucks.

Not if you copy them to another folder, or upload them to photobucket for example.

Any chance they are in the Deleted Items folder?
Would be nice if the uninstaller asked if you wanted to keep that directory....

If you haven't done too much writing on the hard driver there are undelete programs, like Freeundelete.

Like the Recycle Bin? Nothin in there. Is there another folder I should be aware of
No sorry, poor wording on my part. Too used to people somehow "accidentally" deleting 5 years worth of emails while "just reading emails, I swear I didn't do anything!!!"

Ah, oh well. Thanks for the tips guys, though I don't think my screenshots are great enough to merit using recovery software to dig em up.
Let this be a warning to all, and not just to MWO. Backup everything of value!
