One thing I will say is if you truly want a one of a kind mech, a 500 dollar light is a lot more rare than a 500 dollar heavy or assault.

To be truly one of a kind, get a 500 dollar medium.

Folks need to understand it's not just 1 Mech for $500... it's the Gold Mech of your choice and the Masakari Collection included. So... it's really only $260 for a gold Mech

I'm liable to play this Mech half to death but even if I had the means, I still probably would not buy a gold one.

I simply can't comprehend having enough disposable income to blow essentially a second pre order pack on a paint scheme. I've wast- ahem, spent some money on games in my time but nothing to that magnitude, certainly not in one go.

There's no telling which feeling would win if I saw one in game. They'd probably merge together in some sordid cocktail of amused, amazed, confused, sickened and maybe even a bit of jealousy.

You don't spend a lot of time on Twitch.tv do you ? I've seen streamers get over 1000$ donations. Some dude gave a random guy (or girl) a thousand bucks so that he/she can keep doing nothing but play videogames online all day.

Blows me away. At least here you get something for your 500$. That said I'm certainly not going to buy one of those packs lol.

Yeah, 500$ is really not cheap.
But the marketing guys said to do so...and so it should be done !

And I also don't think that this Mech will play a big role on the battlefield. A light 30 ton Mech has to be fast. If your are not fast enough you'll be dead in a second when piloting a light. Therefore i would prefer a speed of ~ 150 kph for this Mech.
