Well, interesting.

Puma is a Clan mech and isn't in game yet.
And there's no such thing as an assault laser.

is this a riddle of some sort?

Stupid little mech is the meanest little thing I've ever seen in any Mechwarrior game. I remembered the first time I danced with one in Mechwarrior 3 on the hardest difficulty setting. Shredded my Orion and made me cry.

If you like the Puma, check out the Cougar. Same idea, but solved the heat problem. I still prefer the Puma for MW4:mercs play, but the Cougar is one of my favorites in table top BT.

In my opinion, Puma was one of the best light mechs in MW4:Mercs. You could strip it down, add 2 PPCs and it would still go 120+kph with only moderate heat issues.

Well, no, but since nothing does, leave the poor tank alone!

The closest I can think of that matches that description might be the Bombast Laser, or a Heavy Large Laser maybe....

Yah I dropped the engine size a little and removed a lot of the heat sinks it wont need as many as the double ppc build because balistics weapons dont generate as much heat as beam weapons so I could upgrade one of the clan PPC's into an assualt lasor which was actually lighter and didnt generate as much heat then I had this extra tonnage from 7 ton ppc down to 5 ton assualt lasor less range but more power, so i got 2 tons from that and a ton from the engine, and the few from the heat sinks, eventually it gave me enough extra tonnage to upgrade the other ppc into the AC20 that did 36 damege compared to the PPC which did like 12 damege, I lost some range in the exchange but I transformed it into a dominating mech in a light mech vs light mech situation I've been like one hitting light mechs in the game with the combination

Though I gotta give the OP props. Not only did he misspell assault and laser, he did so twice. He even gets to bonus points for consistent butchering of English in misspelling them in the same way.

...and I'm not sure I can sleep soundly at night now knowing that a mech in some game, somewhere, has an "Assault Lasor" and I friggin' don't.
