Here are some random thoughts I had when playing the Clans on the Testserver:

1)
Brawling vs other Clan Mechs feels great.
The shift from FLD to damage over time and the increased heat management are extending the fights considerably.

2)
Clan-ER- Large Laser will be very common. 890 Meters optimal range trumps even the Clan-ER-PPC while saving a slot an 2(?) tons.

3)
It might be just me but it seems smaller UACs jam less than bigger ones.

4)
The effects of Targeting Computer seems rather subtle. It is basically the first thing I remove from a mech when I needed to free up tonnage. (I didn't do extensive testing or stopping time for info gathering)

5)
Apparently all ( couldn't play/check all mechs) mechs have the legs occupied with fixed Armour or Structure so using DHS + Water for extra cooling is a no go.

6)
I expected much worst but even with the fixed equipment you can still do a lot of experimenting with any given Mech.

7)
The Summoner Prime is terribad...

8)
Being able switch out Arms and side torsi can catch your opponent off guard because he might not expect that UAC20 =D. The designation of a mech is always the one of the Center Torso.

9)
All praise the mighty thundering of the Clan-MG =D

10)
The blue fire thingy on Clan missiles looks weird...

11)
It's stupid that using any AC or PPC in the arms prevents the use of a lower Arm actuator.

I thought it looked awesome. It makes clan tech look completely alien and different lol.

One thing i would like to see is more bonuses/penalties to certain omnipods. The TBW-S side torsos are great. 1 balistic 1 energy and 2 missle hardpoints in one component is massive but the heat dmg and cd for the lrms balance it ut nicely. I heard someone say one of the stromcrow CT had a 10% increased armor durability and i was like that's fing awesome. More like that.

On that note the set bonus is nice but i don't see myself caring. 2.5% extra exp is pointless especially after you master them. If it was 25% C-bills then i would consider it. Or maybe bonuses to the entire loadout like 5% less heat for all weapons or something else.

IS mechs better be getting that sh1t. It's a little irritating that everything they've used to balance the clans is stuff we've been telling them to use to balance the IS since OB.

1. Smaller UACs do have lesser jam rate. Goes from 10% for UAC2 to 16% for AC20.

2. Targeting computer is not working ATM. Statistically level 1 is the best value for the tonnage.

We can hope. The Dragon Slayer is long overdue for a nerf.

Addition/Edit to 2) I meant Clan-ER-Large Lasers of course

12)
Being able to load 1/2 tons of ammo.
Not clue if IS mechs can do that too.

13)
The Adder felt very slugish in terms of turning speed (torso and legs)
